Yahoo DFS Baseball: Saturday Picks

This article is part of our Yahoo DFS Baseball series.

PITCHER

Jacob deGrom, NYM at SF ($47): deGrom looks like one of the better options on a slate filled with good ones because he's been in the zone lately and has a nice matchup. He hasn't racked up a ton of strikeouts over his past two starts, but he only allowed two runs over those appearances. The matchup works because the Giants have the lowest wOBA in the majors against righties this season.

Robbie Ray, AZ vs. PHI ($52): Ray continues to roll along at an elite level, and though he's pitching in a tough park, he has a pretty good matchup against the Phillies, who have the sixth-lowest wOBA against lefties this season. Ray did slip up in his last start, but prior to that he posted five consecutive gems.

CATCHER

Yan Gomes, CLE vs. MN ($10): The Indians are one of the better stacking options on this slate, and in order to stack you need some lower priced players. Gomes is a great fit because his price is low and he has outstanding career numbers against Twins starter Kyle Gibson. Gomes is 9-for-18 lifetime against Gibson, including four extra base hits (two home runs).

FIRST BASE

Edwin Encarnacion, CLE vs. MN ($27):Kyle Gibson takes the mound for the Twins, and though he's pitched better since his return from Triple-A, he's still not performing at a high level. Gibson enters with a 6.56 ERA and has terrible lifetime numbers against just about everyone in the Indians' lineup. Encarnacion is no exception, as he's 5-for-14 lifetime against Gibson, with four of those five hits going for extra bases, including three home runs.

SECOND BASE

Brandon Drury, AZ vs. PHI ($16):Ben Lively takes the mound for the Phillies, and while he's pitched fairly well this season, he's in a tough spot facing a potent lineup in a hitter's park coming off a bad night. Basically, every Diamondbacks hitter who looked like a good start Friday is in play again. Drury has an impressive wOBA against righties this season at .388 and makes for a lower-priced option in the Arizona lineup.

THIRD BASE

Kris Bryant, CHC at MIA ($21):Justin Nicolino comes in with a 5.06 ERA, and while Bryant and Anthony Rizzo are leading the Cubs in productions, it's Bryant who leads them with a .479 wOBA against lefties, which is 10th-best in the majors.

SHORTSTOP

Xander Bogaerts, BOS vs. LAA ($19): Opposing starter J.C. Ramirez has allowed at least four runs in three of his past four starts, and there's no reason to think that won't jump to four of five after facing a tough Red Sox lineup. Bogaerts and Mookie Betts have been the cornerstones of the Red Sox lineup this season, and while Betts has been better against lefties, Bogaerts has been better against righties, leading the team with a .376 wOBA.

OUTFIELD

Carlos Gomez, TEX at NYY ($18):Luis Cessa enters with a 7.36 ERA, and though he's only made two appearances this season, he's failed to impress. Meanwhile, Gomez has shown no signs of rust after a long stint on the DL, having posted double-digit fantasy points in five of his past seven games. He's also leading the Rangers in wOBA against righties this season at .392.

Aaron Judge, NYY vs. TEX ($27): Facing Yu Darvish on Friday night, Judge was not a good play at this price, but facing Austin Bibens-Dirkx, he's worth the investment. The Yankees as a whole were shut down Friday, so I expect them to bust out in this spot against a pitcher who is coming off a tough outing. Judge is always the most likely hitter in the Yankees' lineup to have a big game, as leads the team with a .458 wOBA against righties this season.

Matt Kemp, ATL vs. MIL ($16):Matt Garza takes the mound for the Brewers after allowing at least four runs in five of his past six starts, failing to complete six innings in any of those starts. Kemp skipped Friday's game with a sore groin, but if he's back in the lineup, he'll make for a good option, as he comes in with a .388 wOBA against righties this season.
