Pitcher
Brad Peacock, HOU at CWS ($8,300) – Peacock was shelled last game to the tune of seven runs over six innings. However, this was easily his worst start of the year against a Toronto team capable of crushing anyone. Before this last outing he was fantastic, allowing three earned runs or fewer in his last eight starts. This is also an elite matchup for Peacock, as the White Sox have the second worst wOBA against right-handed pitching with a .302 mark.
Catcher
Welington Castillo, BAL at LAA ($2,900) – Castillo is having a monster season, putting up a .287 batting average and 11 home runs. He's riding a hot hand with a 1.133 OPS over his last 14 games and has a great matchup tonight against Paul Blackburn. Blackburn is a young rookie who doesn't strike out many batters and has a worse wOBA at home than on the road in a limited sample.
First Base
Edwin Encarnacion, CLE at TB ($3,400) – Encarnacion has always hit left-handed pitchers well, sporting a .377 wOBA for his career against them. Blake Snell is still learning the ropes at the big-league level and has allowed a .361 wOBA to opposing right-handed batters.
Second Base
Cesar Hernandez, PHI at NYM ($2,600) – Hernandez has reached base safely in 20 of his last 21 games and scored at least nine fantasy points in 11 straight. Hernandez is averaging 10.6 fantasy points per game; the next players putting up that kind of production are Starlin Castro (DL) and Robinson Cano ($3,500).
Shortstop
Didi Gregorius, NYY at TOR ($3,100) – This price is way too cheap for a guy who's hitting .311 with 18 home runs in the cleanup spot on a potent Yankees offense. Didi has safely reached base in 13 of his last 15 games and has five outings of at least 25.2 fantasy points over that span. Jays starter Marco Estrada has a 5.12 ERA on the season.
Third Base
Derek Dietrich, MIA at WAS ($3,300) – With Martin Prado on the DL, Dietrich has found his way to regular playing time and has produced for the Marlins. He has a .354 wOBA on the road this season and has a great matchup against Tanner Roark tonight. Roark has a 4.82 ERA on the season while allowing a .347 wOBA to left-handed hitters.
Outfield
Enrique Hernandez, LAD at ARI ($2,000) – Hernandez gets another boost moving to the park in Arizona that has played very hitter-friendly all season. Anthony Banda had a 5.13 ERA at Triple-A this season, suggesting he's due to have some growing pains in the big leagues.
Khris Davis, OAK vs BAL ($4,100) – Davis might be the top play of the night taking into account a few different factors. He comes into the game with home runs in three straight games and has a great matchup against lefty Wade Miley. At home, Davis has a career .371 wOBA against southpaws, while Miley has allowed a .376 wOBA to right-handed hitters this season.
