PITCHER
Danny Duffy, KC vs. DET ($9,300): The Tigers enter with the best wOBA in the league against lefties this season, but their September lineup is a far cry from the batting order Detroit rolled out most of the season. Additionally, Duffy enters with two solid starts since returning from the disabled list and a 3.46 FIP and 21.4 strikeout percentage for the campaign.
Lance Lynn, STL vs. CHC ($6,400): With the Cubs clinching the Central Division on Wednesday, Lynn should face a vanilla lineup. It might be worth waiting until the Chicago batting order is announced, but at this salary, Lynn is probably still a strong option regardless. After three consecutive poor starts (13.03 ERA), he's in a bounce-back spot and still sports a respectable 3.47 ERA for the campaign.
CATCHER
Salvador Perez, KC vs. DET ($3,900): While Perez's .321 wOBA against lefties doesn't jump off the page, he's also posted a .244 ISO and lands in a soft matchup. Daniel Norris allowed five runs last time out in his first start since July 5, and the southpaw has also allowed a .354 wOBA to right-handed hitters for the year.
FIRST BASE
Josh Bell, PIT at WAS ($3,600): After a nice run in the rotation, Edwin Jackson has imploded in September with a 12.38 ERA through four outings. Bell enters with a respectable .348 wOBA against righties for the season, and he's locked into the heart of the Pittsburgh lineup. Obviously, he also offers tremendous cap relief.
SECOND BASE
Jose Altuve, HOU at BOS ($5,300): Interestingly, lefty Eduardo Rodriguez sports reverse splits and has been much stronger against right-handed hitters. Still, Altuve's track record against southpaws shouldn't be ignored. He enters with high-end .940 OPS and .399 wOBA against lefties over the past three seasons.
THIRD BASE
Anthony Rendon, WAS vs. PIT ($4,700): With a manageable salary, Rendon is a strong option despite his not having the traditional handedness advantage in his matchup against Ivan Nova. After all, Nova owns a 6.02 ERA through his past 11 outings, and Rendon enters with a .374 wOBA against righty arms this season.
SHORTSTOP
Alex Bregman, HOU at BOS ($4,300): This is a target-worthy salary for Bregman. He enters with an elite .972 OPS and .406 wOBA against lefties this season, and stacks nicely with Jose Altuve. As noted, Edurado Rodriguez has been tough on right-handed hitters, but the Houston lineup is a completely different animal.
OUTFIELD
Bryce Harper, WAS vs. PIT ($5,400): As noted, opposing starter Ivan Nova hasn't been sharp down the stretch, so because Harper is just back from he could carry a lower ownership percentage. The outfielder boasts a 1.115 OPS, .344 ISO and .452 wOBA against right-handed hurlers this season, and Nova has surrendered a .509 slugging percentage and .355 wOBA to left-handed hitters.
Lorenzo Cain, KC vs. DET ($4,500): As noted, Daniel Norris has struggled against right-handed batters this season, and he is just returning to the rotation after a stint in the minors and pitching out of the bullpen. Cain has had long-standing success against lefties with a .927 OPS and .389 wOBA over the past three years.
Matt Joyce, OAK at TEX ($4,000): Locked into the two-hole of the lineup against righties of late, Joyce should be scarcely owned despite his solid matchup and manageable salary. Miguel Gonzalez has surrendered a .364 wOBA to left-handed batters this season, and Joyce enters with a .358 mark against righty arms.
