FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Guards:

Stephen Curry, GS at NOP ($9,800): It's strange to see Curry below a five-figure total, as we get quite the bargain with him coming off an injury. His 43.4 FanDuel points per game in the regular season shows the sort of upside he can provide and he's scored at least 42 fantasy points in both games since his return. That's incredible production from a player who hasn't surpassed 28 minutes of action quite yet, though he should see closer to 35 minutes here in a critical Game 4. Not to mention New Orleans allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing point guards in the regular season. That's been evident by the fact that Curry is averaging 46 FanDuel points per game in five outings against the Pelicans this season.

Donovan Mitchell, UTA vs. HOU ($8,500): Mitchell is coming off a nightmare game in his most recent outing, but it's lowered his price to this favorable number. The fact that he's dropped $800 since the beginning of this series is what makes him so intriguing, as he's still one of the best fantasy producers in the playoffs. Mitchell is averaging 43 FanDuel points in eight games before his most recent struggles Friday, which isn't a surprise considering he's been running the Utah offense. It's Mitchell's usage that really makes him enticing, considering he's leading the team with a 31.4 percent usage rate, 38.4 minutes and 22.4 shots per game in the playoffs. That's James Harden sort of usage, who happens to cost $4,000 more than Mitchell.

Rajon Rondo, NOP vs. GS ($7,900): Playoff Rondo has become a real thing and he's been one of the best fantasy players in the postseason. Not only does he have at least 36 fantasy points in eight-straight games, Rondo is averaging over 44 FanDuel points per game in his last eight outings. He's had success against the Warriors all season long too, as he averaged 42 fantasy points per game in his last two regular season meetings with them.

Forwards:

Draymond Green, GS at NOP ($8,700): Green has destroyed the Pelicans all season long and is now flirting with triple-doubles every time he takes the floor. The superstar power forward is averaging 45 fantasy points per game over his last eight outings, as well as over 50 FanDuel points per game in this series alone. That carried over from the regular season too, considering Green averaged 45 fantasy points per game in seven previous meetings with New Orleans. That just adds to the fact that the Pelicans allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing power forwards in the regular season.

Trevor Ariza, HOU at UTA ($4,600): Ariza is a tough sell with his recent struggles, but he plays way too many minutes to fade at $4,600. Not only does he regularly approach 35 minutes of action, Ariza was a also $6,000 player in the past when playing in a similar role. That means he has 30-point potential, as he averaged 24 FanDuel points per game during the regular season. The fact that he has at least 24 fantasy points in four of his last seven games shows that he's capable of surpassing 5X value as well.

Andre Iguodala, GS at NOP ($4,600): Iguodala was unusable in the regular season for fantasy purposes, but he's seen a huge increase in role during the playoffs. In fact, Iguodala has played at least 26 minutes in six of his seven playoff games thus far, and has averaged 23 FanDuel points in his last eight outings. That should be no surprise when considering the matchup, as New Orleans allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards in the regular season while ranking 29th in total defense.

Centers:

Clint Capela, HOU at UTA ($8,800): With only three usable centers on this slate, we're going to whittle it down and try to provide you with the best option available. Fading Anthony Davis because of his outlandish price is a realistic option and avoiding Rudy Gobert because of his recent slump and tough matchup is also something to consider. Capela, on the other hand, has been a force in the playoffs, as he has at least 37 fantasy points in five-straight games while averaging 45 FanDuel points during that stretch.
