FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Point Guard
Trae Young ($7,500), ATL at CHA
Young has racked up between 20-29 fantasy points in six of his nine outings, which has represented his floor. The other three games were totals of 38.9, 51.7 and 55.9 fantasy points. Young's shot has been inconsistent, as he's shooting 43.8 percent from the field and 32.1 percent from beyond the arc, but his overall involvement in the offense always makes him a candidate for a big game. He leads the team in usage (27.8 percent) and average fantasy points (33.0). Going up against Charlotte, Young is in a good opportunity to play above his average, with the Hornets giving up the eighth-most fantasy points to point guards on the season. At $7,300, Young is probably best used in GPPs.

Shooting Guard
Khris Middleton ($7,200), MIL at POR
Middleton is averaging 33.9 fantasy points, but his average has been dragged down slightly by the Bucks blowing teams out, keeping Middleton on the bench for long stretches. When Middleton sees at least 30 minutes, he's posting 36.8 fantasy points per game. That kind of production is a bargain at $7,200, making Middleton an option in both cash and GPP. Portland hasn't excelled defending shooting guards, either. The Trail Blazers are allowing the 15th-most fantasy points to the position.

Small Forward
DeAndre' Bembry ($4,900), ATL at CHA
WIth Taurean Prince (ankle) doubtful, Bembry is a strong candidate to take on an expanded role. He's averaging 22.9 fantasy points this season (fourth on the team behind Taurean Prince, Kent Bazemore and Trae Young), but has an impressive effort of 44.7 fantasy points under his belt through 11 points, 16 rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block across 29 minutes. While Bembry hasn't shown much upside as a scorer, he can rack up rebounds (7.6 per 36 minutes), assists (3.9 per 36) and steals (2.3 per 36). Bembry's matchup is favorable as well, as the Hornets allow the third-most fantasy points to small forwards.

Power Forward
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson ($5,300), BKN at PHO
A hip injury limited Hollis-Jefferson's minutes earlier in the season, but he's been seeing more run lately. Over the past four games, he's averaging 24.8 minutes and posting 26.4 fantasy points per contest. That stretch has included two performances of at least 30 fantasy points where Hollis-Jefferson totaled 37 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal. Hollis-Jefferson averaged 13.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals in 28.3 minutes last season, which are numbers he should start trending towards given his increased workload.

Center
Deandre Ayton ($8,500), PHO vs. BKN
Aside from two efforts where he posted fewer than 20 fantasy points, Ayton is averaging 43.0 fantasy points per game. He's been a consistent source of points (16.0) and rebounds (10.7), and his 3.4 assists and combined 1.7 blocks/steals are enough to keep things interesting. Ayton has yet to eclipse 50 fantasy points, but it feels well within reach. He's racked up over 45 fantasy points on three occasions, including a performance of 48.7, where he posted 22 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Brooklyn, who allow the second-most fantasy points to centers, will be coming into Phoenix for Tuesday's contest. At $8,500, Ayton feels like a stable building block for cash or GPP lineups.
