Heat Stun Celtics In Game 2
The Miami Heat defeated the host Boston Celtics, 111-101, in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference First-Round Playoffs at TD Garden on Wednesday evening.

The game got out to a competitive start as the Heat held a one-point lead after one quarter. The score stayed close through the second and after a couple of lead changes, the Celtics carried a three-point lead into the break. The visitors turned up their play in the third and outscored the Celtics by nine points in the quarter to claim a six-point lead heading into the final frame. The Heat stayed in control through the fourth and pushed their way to the finish, closing out the road win and tying the series at, 1-1.

Tyler Herro led the Heat with 24 points, five rebounds, 14 assists and a steal, in 39 minutes. Bam Adebayo totaled 21 points, 10 rebounds and two assists, while Caleb Martin delivered 21 points, two rebounds and a steal.

Meanwhile, Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 33 points, eight rebounds, a steal and a block, in 37 minutes. Jayson Tatum followed up with 28 points, eight rebounds, three assists and a block, while Derrick White added 13 points, four assists, a steal and a block.

Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday in Miami.

Thunder Defeat Pelicans in Game 2, 124-92
The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the visiting New Orleans Pelicans, 124-92, in Game 2 of the Western Conference First-Round Playoffs at Paycom Center on Wednesday.

Oklahoma City leads this series, 2-0.

A 35-22 first quarter carried Oklahoma City to this blowout win, closing things out with a 32-18 fourth quarter. The Thunder held a double-digit lead for the entirety of the second half, getting their lead up to 34 points at times. OKC shot 59 percent from the field and 48 percent from three-point range while holding New Orleans to 45 percent from the field and 27 percent from long range. The Thunder also recorded 25 assists to eight turnovers, while the Pels had 16 assists to 17 turnovers.

The Pelicans (0-2) were led by Jonas Valanciunas, collecting 19 points, seven rebounds and two assists. Brandon Ingram tallied 18 points, four rebounds and three assists. Herbert Jones had 18 points and two boards, while CJ McCollum compiled 15 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Naji Marshall led the bench with 10 points.

The Thunder (2-0) were led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, accumulating 33 points, three rebounds, five assists and two steals. Chet Homlgren totaled 26 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. Jalen Williams provided 21 points, five rebounds and seven assists. Josh Giddey generated 13 points, six rebounds and three assists.

These teams will return to action on Saturday in New Orleans.
