Henry Walker

Walker had an impressive run after his arrival in New York, averaging 11.9 points and shooting 53.8 percent from the field (42.7 percent from three) in 27 games (13 starts). He then made headlines by showing up for the Vegas Summer League in the best shape of his career. He has the potential to put up respectable numbers if given minutes – but right now he’s probably behind Kelenna Azubuike, Wilson Chandler and possibly Roger Mason on the depth chart.

Garnett's knees aren't the only ones being watched at the start of the season. Walker still possesses tremendous upside with his athleticism, but will have to prove his worth during garbage time. Keep an eye on this, as Walker may be worth some late-season consideration in keeper leagues should the depth ahead of him not return for 2010-11.

Walker might have been a lottery pick in 2007 if he hadn't hurt his knee. Another knee injury in 2008 convinced him that he'd better take a shot at the NBA – while he's still able to walk. A teammate of Michael Beasley's at Kansas State, Walker's game is based on explosiveness and athleticism, so his recovery from his latest knee woes will play a very significant role in determining if he gets any playing time. If healthy, he could play a similar role to that of Tony Allen, but he'll have competition from J.R. Giddens and Darius Miles.
