DeClercq, who last played in the NBA with the Magic in the 2004-05 season and has been rehabbing a bad right knee for the past 18 months, will spend this week working out in Chicago, hoping to impress the Bulls enough to be invited to their training camp next month, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
At the end of 2004-05 season, DeClercq had two micro-fracture surgeries on his right knee, sending him into a semi-retirement state. DeClercq became active again on a basketball court this summer, and was contacted by a few teams who are interested in a veteran backup, but most first want to see how their younger players do in training camp. The Bulls are getting the jump, looking for a third veteran center to play behind Ben Wallace and P.J. Brown, though the favorite to fill that role is Luke Schenscher.

Expect DeClercq to rotate in as a back up to Battie and Cato through out the season, but do not expect him to make much of a fantasy impact.
A big body, DeClercq isn't a fantasy producer nor will he start this season. If you are looking for solid production from your big man, look elsewhere.
