Woods averaged just 12 minutes per game with one of the worst teams in the league last season with Toronto, so expecting an increase in playing time with Sacramento would be unreasonable. He has the size, but is lacking the skill set and intensity that Miller brings every night. When he does get some playing time, he maintains a good rebounding average, but he doesn't have the scoring or passing abilities to become a well-rounded NBA center.
Woods played in 38 games last year for the Heat, managing 13.3 minutes, 3.2 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest. He’s got size and some talent, but never seems to be able to harness it, and Woods joins a long line of big man projects the Raptors constantly bring in that stretches from Jerome Moiso all the way back to Oliver Miller. Like a recent link in that chain, Jelani McCoy, look for Woods to make a little noise early in the season before quietly fading away.
Woods needs to put on some muscle before he can compete with the centers around the league. We have our doubts as to his ability to survive the rigors of a Pat Riley run team, and would not be surprised if he spent the majority of this season deep on the bench. At this point, he has no fantasy value whatsoever.
