Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary

Tripp was born Sep. 22, 1997. He played high school basketball for Brooklyn Collegiate High School in Brooklyn, New York. He was hit in the calf by a stray bullet while returning home from a girls basketball game with his teammates, but Tripp was able to play under a month later after undergoing surgery. However, two games after that, he broke his left leg and had to miss the rest of his junior campaign. For his senior campaign, Tripp transferred to Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn and averaged 17 points and 11 boards. For his freshman campaign in college, Tripp attended South Plains. For the remainder of his collegiate campaign, he played for Pacific. As a senior, he was voted to the WCC All-Conference First Team and Defensive Player of the Year, declaring for the NBA Draft afterward. Tripp began his collegiate career at South Plains, where he started 23 of 27 appearances as a freshman and averaged 10.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.1 steals in 17.0 minutes. Following that season, he transferred to Pacific, where he played the next three years. As a sophomore, he averaged 10.9 points, 7.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals, being named to the WCC All-Conference Second Team. As a junior, Tripp averaged 10.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.6 steals, being named WCC All-Conference Honorable Mention. During his senior campaign, Tripp was voted to the WCC All-Conference First Team and WCC Defensive Player of the Year. He averaged 16.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals. After that season, Tripp declared for the NBA Draft.

ANALYSIS
Tripp came off the bench once again Friday and didn't see much playing time, but he generated some production in the scoring column and on the boards. The 24-year-old is now averaging 7.0 points and 5.5 rebounds in 21.9 minutes per game this season.
