FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Tuesday's slate has the potential for some exciting games as the Hawks are playing the Rockets and the Wizards are playing the Bulls. However, the Wizards-Bulls game will be played without Derrick Rose (knee), Taj Gibson (ankle), and Jimmy Butler (elbow) while the Hawks-Rockets game will be played without Dwight Howard (knee) and James Harden (suspension).

Although the seven games being played Tuesday might not be the most exciting matchups due to some of the stars that are sitting out, every night in the NBA is exciting when you're playing daily fantasy basketball. Let's take a look at some of the best FanDuel bargains for the day and try and put some money in our pockets.

Tuesday Value Plays

Point Guard

Mo Williams, CHA, $6,600: Williams has been great of late, scoring at least 39.9 FanDuel points in three of his last five games. The Hornets are leaning on him heavily as he has played at least 37 minutes in four of his last five games, scoring at least 22 points in each of those four games. The Lakers do not have a strong defensive squad, so look for Williams to put up big numbers again Tuesday.

Alexey Shved, NYK, $3,800: If you want a chance to get something for virtually nothing, Shved could be your man Tuesday. He has played at least 19 minutes in each of the last three games, and Jose Calderon (Achillies) will be out for at least the next two weeks. Shved has scored at least 25.0 FanDuel points in both of the last two games. The Knicks are always looking for a spark considering their lack of talent, and Shved might be their flavor of the week. He has a favorable matchup against the Kings Tuesday, making him a nice play considering his salary.

Shooting Guard

Will Barton, DEN, $4,500: Barton went from barely playing with Portland to playing at least 25 minutes in four of his last five games with the Nuggets. Let's face it, the Nuggets stink. They have to try anything at this point, and it looks like they want to see what they have in Barton. He has been productive, scoring at least 32.0 FanDuel points in two of his last three games and at least 20.3 points in each of his last five games. He's cheap again Tuesday, making him another solid play.

Tony Snell, CHI, $3,800: The Bulls are the walking wounded at this point, so Snell is going to play heavy minutes Wednesday. He's already been playing more lately as he has logged at least 31 minutes in three of his last four games. Snell has been lethal from behind the arc and has scored at least 12 points in three of his last four games. He could play 35 minutes or more Tuesday. In his last two games where he played over 35 minutes, he produced 31.4 and 31.9 FanDuel points respectively. Snell could be a major contributor at a very cheap price Tuesday.

Small Forward

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, CHA, $6,000: Kidd-Gilchrist is on a tear as he is averaging 13.4 points and 12.0 rebounds over his last three games. The Hornets have relied on him heavily as he has played at least 39 minutes in two of his last three games. MKG has produced for FanDuel participants, scoring at least 27.6 FanDuel points in four of his last five games. He has a favorable matchup against the Lakers, and although he is not an extremely cheap option, he should hold solid value again Tuesday.

Power Forward

Terrence Jones, HOU, $6,500: Like Kidd-Gilchrist, Jones is not exactly priced to fly off the shelf. However, he is very reasonably priced considering he has produced at least 34.1 FanDuel points in three of his last four games. He is getting plenty of playing time now as he has played at least 32 minutes in each of his last four games. Jones brings a lot to the table on the defensive side as he has blocked at least two shots in four of his last six games. If he continues to play at this level, he won't be priced this low for much longer.

Nikola Mirotic, CHI, $4,500: Mirotic is another Bulls bench player thrust into a larger role due to all of their injuries. He played 31 minutes Sunday against the Clippers and came through in a big way as he scored 29 points to go along with nine rebounds, resulting in a FanDuel performance of 39.8 points. Although the Wizards are a notoriously tough matchup for the Bulls, their big frontcourt might have a hard time keeping up with Mirotic on the perimeter. He is another bargain deal that could pay off in a big way Tuesday.

Center

Marcin Gortat, WAS, $5,500: Gortat put up a big line Saturday against the Pistons as he produced 47.4 FanDuel points. He fared well against the Pistons' big frontcourt and usually plays well against the Bulls, too. He has averaged 9.9 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in 17 career games against Chicago. The Bulls will be thin up front Tuesday, so Gortat could be primed for another big night.
