FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Playoff basketball is well underway, and while some of the matchups might not be extremely competitive in the first round, there are at least meaningful games to watch every day. Although there aren't as many discount bargains at this stage with teams shortening their rotations, let's take a look at some of the better FanDuel plays for Tuesday's three-game slate.

Tuesday Value Plays

Point Guard

Kyrie Irving, $7,900, CLE: There were questions about how Irving would respond in his first playoff game Sunday, but he came through with flying colors as he scored 30 points to go along with three rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in Game 1 against the Celtics. He played 41 minutes and came away with 39.6 FanDuel points. The Celtics are not strong defensively, so expect Irving to have another big performance in Game 2. Although he is the second most expensive option at point guard behind John Wall ($9,300), he should come close to or surpass Wall's production for a significantly cheaper price.

Shooting Guard

Bradley Beal, $6,500, WAS: Beal played very well in Game 1 against the Raptors as he finished with 16 points, nine rebounds, six assists and one steal. The Wizards came away with a big win, and although they are the lower seed in the series, they are considered the favorite in this series by many experts. Beal is a big part of their perimeter offense and should continue to excel in this series as the Raptors are certainly not a lockdown defensive squad. He has a solid sticker price Tuesday, making him a nice option.

Small Forward

Paul Pierce, $4,400, WAS: Now that the playoffs have begun, cue Pierce and his clutch shooting. He played well in Game 1 as he finished with 20 points, four rebounds, one steal and one block. While his minutes were down this season, he was brought to this team to help them in the playoffs. His veteran presence is important to the Wizards, so they should lean on him again in Game 2. Pierce came away with 27.8 FanDuel points in Game 1, and owners would welcome that again Tuesday considering his cheap price.

Power Forward

Kevin Love, $7,100, CLE: Love posted a double-double in Game 1 as he finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and one steal. The result was a 40.4 FanDuel line and a win for the Cavaliers. The Celtics don't have a lot of physical options in the post, making this a favorable matchup for Love and his perimeter shooting abilities. Expect him to produce again Tuesday and be worth his fairly high price.

Center

Tyson Chandler, $6,500, DAL: Much like Pierce, Chandler lives for the playoffs. He came away with 36.6 FanDuel points in Game 1 as he scored 11 points to go along with 18 rebounds, two steals and one block. As the unquestioned anchor in the post for the Mavericks, expect them to rely heavily on Chandler again in Game 2. His ability to control the boards and block shots makes him a strong play Tuesday in what is a weak group of centers for the most part.
