FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

As we move on to the second round of the NBA playoffs the daily fantasy action is still going strong on FanDuel. With round one now in the books, we have a better sense of where teams are at with their rotations, and can use that info to find the best sneaky daily fantasy options. Here's a look at today's value plays.

Sunday Value Plays

Point Guard

Jeff Teague, ATL, $6,500: During the majority of the NBA regular season, Teague was a player who would normally be priced in the $7K range, and deservedly so. FanDuel does a nice job of giving us a price break here, which saves us from using the bottom-barrel point guard options. Teague has been a must-play option thus far, combining for 79.9 total FD points in games four and five, while posting double-digit assists in two of the last three games. He's easily the best value play today at point guard.

Shooting Guard

Kyle Korver, ATL, $5,800: If you were one of those players who got burned by Korver's lack of regular season production down the stretch following his broken nose, we have good news for you. Korver has bounced back with a vengeance in round one, averaging 31.7 FD points per game, and capping it off with a 42.6 fantasy-point performance in the series clincher. Look for Korver to keep bombing away from deep at home against the Wizards.

Small Forward

Otto Porter, WAS, $3,900: Small forward has consistently been the best money-saving position available throughout the NBA playoffs, and today is no different. It's been Porter, not Paul Pierce, that's been the small forward in Washington averaging the most minutes in round one (31.9 per game) while averaging 22.7 FD points per game. If you need to save cash, Porter is one of the only low-priced options that can still get you five times the return on his price tag.

Power Forward

Zach Randolph, MEM, $6,700: This position is probably the toughest on the board today in terms of ceiling and value. FanDuel really should make Draymond Green eligible at power forward, but because they don't, we're left with only two options here that can legitimately be trusted for 20+ fantasy points. Randolph is the best value of two options, averaging a super-consistent 26 FD points per game and 35.2 minutes per game in round one. Expect Randolph to be one of the most highly-owned players available this Sunday.

Center

Marc Gasol, MEM, $8,400: Generally speaking, I try not to recommend top-tier options like Gasol because they are often the most obvious plays, but this Grizzly manning the middle has been absolutely crushing it on FanDuel thus far. In round one, Gasol really stuffed the stat sheet, averaging 20.4 points per game, 9.2 rebounds and 2.4 blocks, good for 43.3 FanDuel points per game against Portland. This may be the only position on the floor where Memphis holds an edge in their starting five, so expect another heavy dose of Gasol today in game one against Golden State.
