FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Friday brings a typically robust 12-game slate, with plenty of superstars such as Kawhi Leonard, Blake Griffin, Anthony Davis and Stephen Curry in action. Luckily, there is an abundance of solid values that will allow you the room to roster some of those elite talents. Without further ado, here's our look at some FanDuel Friday value plays:

Point Guards
Jrue Holiday NO at PHO ($5300)- Holiday continues to produce consistently despite having yet to exceed 29 minutes on the court in any game this season. He's impressively tallied between 28.4 and 32 fantasy points in five consecutive games, and double-digit actual points in six straight. He also draws a Suns defense Friday that has surrendered 45.4 fantasy points to opposing point guards over their last five, ranking them fourth-worst in that category. Word out of New Orleans is that Holiday is done with any rest days for maintenance reasons, and he could potentially receive a bit of extended run in what should be a high-scoring, competitive matchup.

Raymond Felton DAL vs. MEM ($4900)- Fortunately, Felton continues to be priced under $5k despite delivering outstanding value for what has now been an extended stretch. He's scored double-digit actual points in six straight games, and has netted between 21.6 and 39.7 fantasy points over his last seven. Despite Deron Williams' return to the lineup, Felton's stellar play has kept him in the starting five at the small forward spot, and he's averaged a hefty 34.7 minutes on the court

He's scored double-digit actual points in six straight games, and has netted between 21.6 and 39.7 fantasy points over his last seven. Despite Deron Williams' return to the lineup, Felton's stellar play has kept him in the starting five at the small forward spot, and he's averaged a hefty 34.7 minutes on the court over his last three. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies have yielded a robust 38.4 fantasy points per game to opposing small forwards over the last 10, making Felton's individual matchup appealing as well.

Shooting Guards
Gerald Green MIA vs. TOR ($3800)- Green had a fairly productive six-game run as a starter in Luol Deng's stead recently, but his price has remained extremely reasonable. He still averaging 25.4 minutes over the five games since Deng's return, including two games with 31 and 33 minutes, respectively. He's managed double-digit actual points in six of seven, and has posted between 20.1 and 26.6 fantasy points in three of those games. That type of production is exceedingly rare for a player priced just above minimum, and offers the potential for Green to return 5x-7x value Friday. He'll also draw a Raptors shooting guard defense that has proven suspect at times, surrendering 36.2 fantasy points to the position over the last 10 and fresh off yielding 35 points to Jeremy Lin on Thursday.

Small Forwards
C.J. Miles IND vs. BKN ($5400)- Miles is notorious for his scoring streaks, and jumping on him when he's got the hot hand can pay off handsomely. He appears to be in the midst of such a stretch at the moment, tallying 29.3, 28.6, 25.8 and 32.4 fantasy points in four of his last five. A matchup against a Nets defense that ranks in the bottom half of the league against small forwards and that is further compromised without defensive stalwart Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (ankle) makes the Pacers forward even more appealing Friday.

P.J. Tucker PHX vs. NO ($3500)- Tucker may have posted a baffling scoreless performance in his last game, but the outlier came over just 19 minutes in a blowout loss to the reigning NBA champs. While he's obviously limited offensively, he doesn't have to do much to pay off a minimum price, and retains a starting job for the time being. Tucker is averaging 14.8 fantasy points on the season, and has amassed between 13.8 and 23.8 fantasy points in four of his last five. He also contributes in other areas, particularly rebounds, and can open up significant room elsewhere to roster some of the elite.

Power Forwards
Jon Leuer PHX vs. NO ($4600)- Leuer's price fortunately continues stagnant despite solid production. In the eight games since taking over the starting power forward spot for Markieff Morris, Leuer has been between 23.1 and 35.1 fantasy points in six of those, with one exception being his 14-minute outing against Golden State in the Suns' last game. Meanwhile, despite the formidable presence of Anthony Davis down low, the Pelicans have given up 46.8 fantasy points to opposing power forwards over their last five. Leuer has managed eight straight games with double-digit actual points, and could well be headed for a ninth in what should be a fast-paced contest.

John Henson MIL at GS ($3800)- Henson figures to be the beneficiary of an uptick in minutes during Greg Monroe's absence due to a knee injury, and is priced barely above minimum. He's notably tallied 25.9, 18.3, and 24.6 fantasy points over the last three games he's received 20 or more minutes, and will likely be afforded that allotment at a minimum Friday. The Warriors have also been increasingly generous to opposing frontcourts recently, surrendering 50.6 and 51.7 fantasy points to centers and power forwards, respectively, over their last five.

Center
Bismack Biyombo TOR at MIA ($4000)- It's near-impossible to find a productive starting center at a $4k price point, much less one that offers the potential to return a minimum of 6x-8x value like Biyombo. The Raptors center tallied a robust 45.6 fantasy points on Thursday versus the Hornets, largely on the strength of an impressive 18 boards. Biyombo also has 27.6-and-34.6-fantasy point outings in two of his previous five games, and draws a Heat defense that has surrendered a healthy 43.7 fantasy points to opposing centers over their last five despite the presence of Hassan Whiteside.
