FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Tuesday brings a light night for the NBA schedule as there are only five games. There is still plenty of money to be made on FanDuel though, so here are some of the better value plays to consider when creating your lineup.

Point Guard

Jameer Nelson, DEN vs. CLE ($4,700): Nelson should start again Tuesday against the Cavaliers as Emmanuel Mudiay (ankle) is still out. Nelson has been a bit inconsistent since taking over the starting role, but he had a big game Sunday against the Thunder, scoring 30.1 fantasy points. He is unlikely to put up a monster performance, but he can still provide value at this price.

Ty Lawson, HOU vs. ATL ($3,700): Sometimes you have to take a shot if you are playing in a tournament. If you are looking for a player to take a chance on Tuesday, Lawson might be worth considering at this bargain basement price. Lawson has scored at least 16.9 fantasy points in each of his last three games and had 21.9 fantasy points in his last game Saturday against the Pelicans.

Shooting Guard

Will Barton, DEN vs. CLE ($6,800): I don't normally like to recommend players with this high of a price tag because they should be more of an obvious play, but I'm really high on Barton against the Cavaliers with Danilo Gallinari (ankle) out again. Barton has scored at least 32.5 fantasy points in four of his last five games, one of which was a 52-fantasy-point performance. The Nuggets will lean on him to be one of their primary scorers Tuesday, making him a nice play even at this price.

Kent Bazemore, ATL at HOU ($5,400): Bazemore is not a flashy option, but he is consistent, scoring at least 20.2 fantasy points in seven of his last eight games. He's not an elite scoring option, but he does just enough offensively to provide value when combined with his rebounding and defensive contributions. His price is low, making him worth consideration Tuesday against the Rockets.

Small Forward

Jeff Green, MEM vs. MIA ($4,500):Matt Barnes is suspended for Tuesday's game against the Heat, which could mean more minutes and a greater role for Green. He was able to score 28.8 fantasy points Sunday against the Lakers despite playing only 25 minutes, so his production could really be on the rise Tuesday.

Power Forward

Serge Ibaka, OKC vs. MIL ($6,400): The Bucks are a long team, which means Ibaka could be used heavily due to his defensive abilities. He never seems to fail to contribute on the defensive end, as he has seven blocks and four steals in his last four games. His play has translated well fantasy-wise, as he has scored at least 27.4 fantasy points in four of his last six games. While not the cheapest option, expect Ibaka to be a reliable play at this price.

Center

Enes Kanter, OKC vs. MIL ($5,000): Kanter has been on fire lately, scoring at least 31.1 fantasy points in four of his last five games. Although he doesn't provide a ton of defensive stats and doesn't even start, he is still a double-double threat even coming off the bench. The price is right to take another chance on him Tuesday against the Bucks.
