FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

There are five games on tap Sunday, one early and four later games. Since they can't have a one-game slate, FanDuel split their contests into an early one, with games starting between 3:30 p.m. EST (one game) and 7:00 p.m. (two games), and a main slate that features the same two 7:00 p.m. starts in addition to two later games. So, the Heat, Thunder, Mavericks and Spurs are in both slates.

Point Guard
Ricky Rubio, MIN vs. PHO ($7,000), early:
Rubio has two clunkers in the last week against the Thunder, but in his other two games he averaged 35.7 fantasy points per game against the Rockets and the Mavericks. On the plus side, the Suns are last in the NBA in production allowed to opposing point guards.

Jordan Clarkson, LAL vs. HOU ($6,200), late: Clarkson has averaged 18.2 points, 4.3 boards, 2.0 assists and 1.9 combines steals and blocks per game over his last six. On Sunday, he faces a Rockets defense that ranks 23rd in the NBA in production allowed to opposing point guards.

Shooting Guard
Manu Ginobili, SAS vs. DAL ($4,700):
Ginobili is still producing elite production per minute, but at 38 years old, he's not playing that many minutes these days. However, the Spurs haven't played since Thursday, which has given Ginobili plenty of time to rest. The Mavericks are in the bottom third in the NBA in production allowed to opposing shooting guards, and this is a bit of a rivalry game, so Ginobili should be solid.

Small Forward
Andrew Wiggins, MIN vs. PHO ($6,700), early:
Wiggins has scored at least 30 fantasy points in five straight games, peaking at 42.9 over that stretch. On Sunday, he faces a struggling Suns team that is in the bottom third in the NBA in production allowed to opposing wings.

Kevin Durant, OKC vs. MIA ($9,900): Durant is the high-priced player with the best matchup Sunday, facing a Heat defense that is 26th in the NBA in production allowed to opposing small forwards.

Power Forward
LaMarcus Aldridge, SAS vs. DAL ($7,100):
Aldridge had a bad game against the Cavaliers on Thursday, but before that was coming off consecutive strong performances in which he averaged 39.7 fantasy points per game against the Pistons and Nets. On Sunday, he faces a Mavericks defense that is 24th in the NBA at limiting production to opposing power forwards.

Darrell Arthur, DEN vs. IND ($4,300), late: Arthur has moved into the starting lineup for the Nuggets in the short term, but at center. In the last two games he has averaged 18 points, 9.5 boards and a steal in 28 minutes per game.

Center
Zaza Pachulia, DAL at SAS ($6,800):
Pachulia has scored between 27 and 36.4 fantasy points in his last eight games, and in six of those he scored between 30.1 and 33.8. He's a metronome, a double-double machine that can also contribute on any given day in assists, blocks and/or steals. He has had a sore Achilles lately, but he played Friday and appears good to go Sunday against a Spurs defense that ranks 18th in the NBA in production allowed to opposing centers.
