FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Wednesday night will be a busy one in the NBA with 10 games on the schedule. There are a lot of elite options available on FanDuel with the Cavaliers, Warriors, Thunder, Clippers and Raptors all in action. Here are some of the better value plays available for the evening so you can pair them with some of those upper echelon options.

Point Guard
D'Angelo Russell, LAL at MEM ($4,900):
Russell has moved into the starting lineup for the Lakers and has posted at least 20 FanDuel points in both of his last two games and in four of his last five contests overall. The Lakers are clearly out of it this season, so look for them to give Russell not only more minutes, but more opportunities to be a major part of the offense. This price is right to give him a shot Wednesday.

Shooting Guard
Zach LaVine, MIN at TOR ($4,900):
While LaVine has not put up any eye-popping performances of late, he has recorded at least 22.4 FanDuel points in six of his last seven games. He has been a consistent scorer for the Timberwolves and has even grabbed at least four rebounds in three of his last four games. I expect him to put up his usual steady production at a cheap price Wednesday.

Small Forward
Tobias Harris, DET vs. PHI ($5,700):
Harris has played 35 minutes in each of his last two games, which resulted in at least 29.5 FanDuel points in both games. Although he originally came off the bench for the Pistons, he has since moved into the starting lineup with Anthony Tolliver (knee) out of action. The Sixers are giving up over 106 points per game, so look for the offensive-minded Harris to have a big performance Wednesday.

Doug McDermott, CHI vs. WAS ($3,800): McDermott has been forced to play more while the Bulls deal with multiple injuries, which has actually helped his development. Known as a scorer in college, McDermott has scored at least 16 points in three of his last four games. He had a monster night against the Raptors on Friday when he came away with 36.3 FanDuel points. You shouldn't have high expectations for anyone in the price range, but I think McDermott could post around 20 FanDuel points in this contest.

Power Forward
Marvin Williams, CHA at CLE ($5,600):
Williams tends to fly under the radar, but he has really been a useful DFS option throughout this season. He has continued to play well of late, recording at least 26 FanDuel points in six of his last nine games. He has become a very good stretch four who provides plenty of value on the defensive end as well, evident by his averages of 1.0 steal and 1.3 blocks over his last four games. Look for him to have another productive evening against the Cavaliers.

Bobby Portis, CHI vs. WAS ($4,300): The Bulls haven't had much go right this season, but Portis has been one of the bright spots on the roster. He has been forced to play more than the Bulls expected him to because of various injuries up front, but he has played very well so far. His recent production has been especially encouraging as he has posted at least 21.6 FanDuel points in six of his last seven games. That's great production from someone at this price, so I'm inclined to give Portis a try Wednesday.

Center
Robin Lopez, NY at IND ($6,000):
Lopez has cranked up his game over his last two contests as he posted at least 21 points and at least 13 rebounds in both games. Although he's not really known for his offense, he has scored at least 20 points in three of his eight games in February. The Knicks need him to play well up front for them to have a chance to win on most nights and will especially need him against the likes of Ian Mahinmi, Jordan Hill and Myles Turner Wednesday. Don't be surprised if he comes up with another double-double in this one.
