The NBA has an eight-game schedule on Thursday, the highest number that you'll ever see for a Thursday. Usually Thursday is a tiny pool of players, but this week there should be plenty of options. The 76ers, Nuggets, inury-wracked Grizzlies, Nets, Bulls interior (with Pau Gasol out) and Suns are all playing on Thursday... all are bad defenses, which means some big point totals should go up on the board.
Point Guard
Shelvin Mack, UTA vs PHO ($5500): Mack is averaging 19.3 points, 7.3 assists, 5.0 boards and 1.0 steals over his last three games and has a good match-up against a Suns defense that is the worst in the NBA at limiting production to opposing point guards.
John Wall, WAS at PHI ($9400): Wall is one of the highest scoring point guards in the league, and faces a terrible 76ers defense that seems to help everyone play their best. Wall last faced the 76ers less than three weeks ago, and turned in 37 points with seven assists, four boards, three steals and a blocked shot.
Shooting Guard
Nik Stauskas, PHI vs WAS ($4000): Stauskas has gotten minutes the last couple of games because of all of the injuries to the 76ers front line, and in those two games he averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 boards, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals. The injuries are still there, so Stauskas should get another chance to perform on Thursday.
Small Forward
Bojan Bogdanovic, BKN at CHI ($4700): Bogdonavic just had the game of his life on Tuesday, dropping 44 points with eight boards, four treys and two assists in a win over the 76ers. While that level of production obviously isn't the norm, over his last nine games he has averaged 18.1 points on 49.6% FG and 78.1% FT, with 4.3 rebounds, 2.2 treys and 2.1 assists per game.
Otto Porter, WAS at PHI ($4500): Porter seems to have found his groove again over his last couple of games after struggling for the last few weeks. In his last two games he is averaging 17 points, four boards, three steals, two assists and a blocked shot. And he's facing the 76ers, which is always good.
Power Forward
LaMarcus Aldridge, SA vs POR ($7900): Aldridge has been playing outstanding basketball of late, and along with Kawhi Leonard makes up the two Spurs that are likely to produce on a nightly basis. He is averaging just over 40 fantasy points over his last nine games, and will be facing his former team so the motivation should be there.
Center
Brook Lopez, BKN at CHI ($8300): Lopez is always a threat for a big game, and the Bulls are last in the NBA at defending opposing centers. Plus, Pau Gasol is out so the Bulls are even more undersized than usual.
