FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Wednesday night in the NBA should be fun, as there are 12 games on the schedule, including the Raptors against the Celtics, the Heat against the Spurs and the Clippers against the Warriors. Nothing like a full night of games to crank up the FanDuel excitement as well. Here are some of the better value plays to consider when creating your lineup.

Point Guard
D.J. Augustin, DEN vs. PHI ($4,600):
Augustin was chained to the bench as a member of the Thunder earlier this season, but he has thrived since being traded to Denver. He has played at least 25 minutes in five of his last six games, proving to be a reliable source for both points and assists. Although he only scored 18.9 fantasy points Monday against the Cavaliers, he had provided at least 28.7 in four of the five previous games. Look for him to be a valuable contributor at this price Wednesday against a poor Sixers squad.

Shooting Guard
Gary Harris, DEN vs. PHI ($5,300):
Harris has largely flown under the radar, but he is playing big minutes for the Nuggets. Although he is not providing a ton in the way of rebounds or assists, he is averaging 15.3 points and 1.7 steals per game over his last six games. He has produced at least 24.8 fantasy points in four of his last six games and it shouldn't be a surprise if he provides similar production Wednesday.

Small Forward
P.J. Tucker, PHO vs. LAL ($4,600):
This has been a lost season for the Suns, but Tucker continues to provide them with a solid veteran presence. Not only is he an asset in the locker room, but he has played well of late, recording at least 23.2 fantasy points in three of his last four games. The Suns play the Lakers on Wednesday, which could be good news for Tucker as he scored 23.2 fantasy points in their meeting last Friday.

Hollis Thompson, PHI at DEN ($4,400): Thompson doesn't get a lot of recognition, but he has been a consistent offensive option for the Sixers by scoring at least 14 points in each of his last five games. While his ceiling isn't very high, he doesn't throw up many duds, scoring at least 21 fantasy points in six of his last eight games.

Power Forward
Ed Davis, POR vs. DAL ($4,000):
Davis has been a reliable member of Portland's bench this season, but he has been called upon to produce more than usual of late with Meyers Leonard (shoulder) out. He has not disappointed, scoring at least 22.3 fantasy points in each of his last three games. Leonard will be out again Wednesday, making Davis worth a shot at this price.

Center
Robin Lopez, NYK at CHI ($6,000):
If there is one thing I know watching the Bulls, it's that Pau Gasol is a defensive liability in the paint. In comes Lopez, fresh off of 51 fantasy points against the Kings on Sunday. Like the Bulls, the Kings often struggle to defend in the paint. Lopez is not available at a discounted price by any means, but he should still provide plenty of value.

Mason Plumlee, POR vs. DAL ($5,200): Plumlee has been on a bit of a role lately, scoring at least 22.2 fantasy points in five of his last six games. Portland takes on Dallas on Wednesday, a team that Plumlee excelled against in their last meeting Sunday when he scored 42.8 fantasy points. While he might not hit that number again, there's plenty of value to be had.
