Yahoo DFS Basketball: Tuesday Picks

Yahoo DFS Basketball: Tuesday Picks

This article is part of our Yahoo DFS Basketball series.

The Tuesday-Wednesday three-game slate provides a bit more flexibility than the two-game Tuesday schedule of the past two weeks, and some solid value is to be had. We present you with a mix of bargains and mid-tier plays that will give you the flexibility to roster the likes of Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, and Damian Lillard.

Here's our look at Tuesday-Wednesday Yahoo Daily Fantasy Basketball:

GUARD

Tony Parker, SA vs. OKC ($19) - The 15-year veteran has been outperforming his nominal price, and has taken on a consistent role in the offense during the series with Tim Duncan, and most recently, Danny Green, struggling to generate any offense. Parke scored 24.8 to 36.6 fantasy points in three of the series' first four games, and figures to play a pivotal role once again as the series shifts back to San Antonio deadlocked at two.

Dwyane Wade, MIA at TOR ($34) - Wade has 44.7 and 54.6 fantasy points, respectively, in two of the series' first three games, and had amassed 15 points by halftime of Game 4 on Monday night. Those are 2006 vintage edition Wade numbers, and he's been able to accomplish them with contributions all across the stat sheet. He's been particularly proficient from beyond the arc, sinking six of eight attempts from long distance over the first three contests versus the Raptors. With the series shifting back to Toronto for what will be a pivotal Game 5, Wade's veteran presence figures to be crucial to the Heat's chances in a tough road environment.

Guard to Avoid:

Shaun Livingston, GS vs. POR ($22) - Livingston's price has risen to match his production, and now Stephen Curry is back. This is an obvious avoid.

FORWARD

Kawhi Leonard, SA vs. OKC ($42) - Leonard is playing through some knee pain caused by a collision with Enes Kanter in Game 3, but has scored 32.9 to 51.2 fantasy points in the first three games of the series. He has the upside that the high end of that range indicates, and is priced $9 cheaper than counterpart Kevin Durant ($51), whose series high is a nearly identical 51.5 fantasy points. With the Spurs returning home and the series at a pivotal point, look for Leonard to take the reins of the Spurs offense in Game 5.

Enes Kanter, OKC at SA ($19) - Kanter had performances of 24.6 and 21.1 fantasy points over the last three games, and offers something in virtually every category, including three-point shooting. He's superb at making the most of whatever minutes he gets.

Forward to Avoid:

Harrison Barnes, GS vs. POR ($17) - Barnes seemed to overcome his opening-round shooting struggles during the first two games of the current series, but then reverted back to his previous form in Games 3 and 4. With Stephen Curry (knee) healthy again, Barnes logged a series-low 29 minutes in Monday's Game 4, even though the contest went to overtime.

CENTER

Steven Adams, OKC at SA ($17) - Adams has stepped up considerably on offense during the postseason, and he scored more than 30 fantasy points in two of the first four games versus the Spurs. He's also scored 20.9 to 29.5 fantasy points in four other playoff games, and the Thunder have appeared to make a concentrated effort to get him involved. Adams also has a five-game streak of double-digit rebounds, as he has overwhelmed Tim Duncan down low with regularity over the first four games of the semifinal round.

Bismack Biyombo, TOR vs. MIA ($14) - Biyombo will be the man at the five after Jonas Valanciunas' ankle injury, yet is still priced at a level commensurate to his previous reserve role. While he struggled when thrust into Game 3 on Saturday, Biyombo looked a lot more settled in the early going of Monday night's Game 4 as the clear-cut starter from the opening tip. The 23-year-old turned in several impressive double-doubles during the regular season when Valanciunas was out with a broken hand, including a 16-point, 25-rebound effort versus the Pacers back on March 17 that netted a whopping 50.0 fantasy points. The Heat were also vulnerable against opposing centers during the regular season when Hassan Whiteside (knee) was healthy, and could well be without their elite rim protector for Game 5.

CENTER TO AVOID:

Tim Duncan, SA vs. OKC ($14)– Duncan has a grand total of two points over the last two games, during which he's produced 6.7 and 3.6 fantasy points, respectively. His playing time was considerably curtailed in Game 4, as he amassed four fouls in just 12 minutes. Even when he played over 20 minutes in both Games 1 and 2, he still managed totals of only 15.4 and 14.8 fantasy points. His degree of involvement on offense is presently too limited to deploy him, even at a very reasonable price.
