FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Wednesday brings a busy night in the NBA with 22 teams in action, including the Spurs, Clippers, Warriors and Thunder. There are a lot of options to pick from on FanDuel, so let's dive right in.

Guards

Chris Paul, LAC vs POR ($9,400): There are a lot of high priced guards to choose from Wednesday, but I'm leaning towards Paul in this one against Portland. Paul has been great this season, averaging 44.9 FanDuel points per game. He has been especially hot of late, posting at least 48.7 FanDuel points in three of his last four games. These two teams have already faced off this season and Paul finished with 27 points, five rebounds, five assists and one steal in that contest. Look for similar production in this game.

Avery Bradley, BOS at WAS ($6,900): Bradley doesn't get a lot of publicity, but he has been great to start the season. He has posted at least 38.2 FanDuel points in three of his last four games and is averaging 36.4 FanDuel points on the season overall. One of the main reasons for his jump in production is his increased rebounding totals, as he already has three games in which he has grabbed at least 11 boards. I think he is a nice mid-tier option at shooting guard Wednesday.

Brandon Jennings, NY vs BKN ($4,200): Jennings is not a safe play by any means, but you really can't get a safe play at this price. I'm banking on the fact that the Nets are currently overachieving and very thin at guard due to injuries. Jennings could either feast on the backup guards or see some extra minutes if the game gets out of hand. He's averaging 16.9 FanDuel points on the season and could finish with 20 or more in this one if things fall his way.

Forwards

Kawhi Leonard, SA vs HOU ($8,800): This has all the makings of a big game for Leonard as not only will he be needed to help slow down the Rockets' potent offense, but he also gets to take advantage of their terrible defense. Leonard is averaging 42.1 FanDuel points per game this season and I expect another big outing from him Wednesday on both ends of the floor.

Kristaps Porzingis, NY vs BKN ($6,600): Porzingis burned me earlier this season when I thought he'd go off in a game against the Rockets last Wednesday, but he only managed a measly three points and eight rebounds. However, he rebounded from that performance in a big way, as he has averaged 27.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in the two games since. I'm looking for him to be heavily involved in the offense again Wednesday and come through with a big performance.

Kent Bazemore, ATL vs CHI ($4,400): Bazemore has been huge the last two games, posting at least 34.8 FanDuel points in both contests. And he's been solid over an even longer stretch as he has posted at least 22.9 FanDuel points in four of his last five games. If you want to go really cheap at small forward Wednesday, Bazemore is one of the better options.

Centers

Andre Drummond, DET at PHO ($8,100): Drummond has had some monster games this season, posting at least 40.5 FanDuel points three times already. His rebounding and defensive stats are usually great, but what brings him to another level is when he produces offensively, as well. I don't think the Suns will provide him with much resistance in this game, so I like Drummond if you want to spend big bucks at center.

Marcin Gortat, WAS vs BOS ($6,000): Gortat is another one of those guys who doesn't create a lot of buzz, but his contributions should not go unnoticed. He comes into Wednesday averaging 11.2 points, 12.3 rebounds and 1.0 block per game on the season. Al Horford (concussion) is out again for this contest, so the Celtics really don't have anyone who matches up favorably with Gortat, so look for him to have another valuable performance.

Robin Lopez, CHI at ATL ($4,500): If you want to take a chance on a cheap center, Lopez might be your man. The main limitation on his value this season has been his lack of minutes as he is only averaging 23 minutes per game. Expect him to see an uptick in action Wednesday as he'll be needed to battle with Dwight Howard down low. I think he could approach a double-double with a block or two, making him an intriguing option at this price.
