FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Tuesday night only brings four games in the NBA, but there are quality teams in action as the Trail Blazers, Hawks, Bulls and Thunder will all take the court. With options being thin for your FanDuel lineup, let's take a look at some players across various price points that might be in for big games.

Damian Lillard, POR at NY ($9,000): Lillard hasn't been spectacular of late, as he's averaging 31.4 FanDuel points over his last four games. While that would be strong production for many players, it's well below expectations for Lillard. I think he breaks out of his funk Tuesday against a bad Knicks squad which doesn't have anyone who can stick with Lillard on the peremeter. He'll need to get at least 40 FanDuel points to be worth this price, which I think he'll do.

Rajon Rondo, CHI at DEN ($5,700): Don't look now, but Rondo is getting back to his well-rounded ways of late after missing two games with an ankle injury. Since his return from injury, he is averaging 6.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 10.0 assists and 1.5 steals over two games. I think he could put up similar production Tuesday against the Nuggets, making him a very viable option at this price.

Nick Young, LAL vs OKC ($4,200): The Lakers are giving Young a chance to produce and he has come through recently, posting at least 24.2 FanDuel points in each of his last two games. Offense is the name of the game for Young, as he has scored at least 15 points in six of his last eight games. This game should be a shootout, so I think Young is worth a shot if you want a really cheap shooting guard option.

Jimmy Butler, CHI at DEN ($8,600): Butler exploded Sunday against the Lakers for 58.4 FanDuel points. He was helped by Dwyane Wade sitting out the contest for rest, but it marked the third time in his last seven games that Butler has posted at least 58.4 FanDuel points. He plays a ton of minutes and stuffs the stat sheet across the board. He's reasonably priced based on the kind of performance he could have Tuesday against the Nuggets.

Taj Gibson, CHI at DEN ($5,300): I know, I've already recommended three Bulls players. But I can't help it. They are playing well of late and get a poor Nuggets squad Tuesday. The one thing the Nuggets have is quality big men, so the Bulls are going to need a big performance from Gibson. While he's not flashy, Gibson is averaging 24.9 FanDuel points per game this season.

Kent Bazemore, ATL vs NO ($4,900): Bazemore has flown under the radar this season but has been valuable of late, having recorded at least 23.1 FanDuel points in four of his last five games. His season averages of 12.1 points, 3.2 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.8 blocks per game are all career-highs. He doesn't cost much Tuesday, so he's worth a shot if you are looking for a cheap play at small forward.

Dwight Howard, ATL vs NO ($7,900): Howard is the lone big money center playing Tuesday and he is coming off of back-to-back performances with at least 42.6 FanDuel points. He continues to be a double-double machine, who also provides a lot of value on the defensive end of the floor.

Robin Lopez, CHI at DEN ($4,900): Lopez has been hot of late, posting a double-double in four of his last five games. The same argument I used for Gibson comes into play with Lopez, as the Bulls will need his size and rebounding against the deep Denver frontcourt. He won't cost you much, so I'd go with Lopez if you are looking to pinch your pennies at the center position.
