FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

The NBA has eight games on tap Sunday, but per usual they are spread out over the day. There are two early games at 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM EST, three games at 6 PM, then three more at 7 PM EST or after. FanDuel is offering three sets of games: a whole day option including all eight games (few contests, smallest prizes), an early-only option with first two games available and slightly larger prizes, and a "main" option including all six games that begin at 6 PM. Most of the contests and the biggest prizes are for the "main" later games, though in this article all eight games were considered.

James Harden, HOU at POR ($11,400): Harden is the very focal point of everything that the Rockets do on offense, which leads to his video game-like numbers. He has produced a double-double in six straight games, including two triple-doubles in the stretch, and his numbers haven't been affected in the slightest by the return of Patrick Beverley.

Jeff Teague, IND vs LAC ($7100): Teague has taken a larger role in the Pacers' offense with Paul George in-and-out of the lineup due to injury. In his last six games, he has averaged 17 points, 7.2 boards 5.3 boards and 4.0 combined steals.

Jordan Clarkson, LAL vs ATL ($5000): Clarkson and teammate Lou Williams are both consistent value options at shooting guard. With D'Angelo Russell injured, Clarkson could be the best DFS prospect on the Lakers team.

Jordan Clarkson, LAL vs ATL ($5000): Clarkson and teammate Lou Williams are both consistent value options at shooting guard. With D'Angelo Russell injured, Clarkson could be the best DFS prospect on the Lakers team. He moved into the starting lineup at shooting guard Friday and responded with 20 points, five steals, four treys and two boards in 38 minutes.

Anthony Davis, NO at DAL ($11,900): As long as he is healthy enough to play through the game, Davis is very arguably the DFS MVP at this point in the season. He's averaged 34 points, 12 boards, 3.3 assists and 3.3 blocks over his last four complete outings and appears over the knee contusion that forced his early exit a couple games back.

Wilson Chandler, DEN at PHO ($6200): Chandler's price tag hasn't yet caught up to his production. Over his last six games, he is averaging 21.8 points, 9.0 boards, 2.7 assists, 1.8 treys and 1.0 combined steals/blocks per game. He has a winnable matchup with the Suns on Sunday in one of the early games. In later games, Brandon Ingram could be a value play if Julius Randle continues to sit with his hip injury.

Maurice Harkless, POR vs HOU ($4900): Harkless is averaging 15 points, 8.7 boards, 2.3 combined steals/blocks and 1.0 assists over his last three games. He has thrived as the main garbageman on the Trail Blazers with Al-Farouq Aminu injured.

DeMarcus Cousins, SAC at BKN ($10,400): Cousins has been playing to his considerable ability of late, and when he does there isn't another center in the game in his class. Over his last five games, Cousins is averaging 30.2 points with 12.4 boards, 4.0 assists, 2.8 treys and 2.0 combined steals and blocks. The Nets are going to have their hands full with him Sunday, to say the least.

Joel Embiid, PHI vs CLE ($6000): Embiid has an early game Sunday and is expected to play. He still is on a minutes restriction, but he produces such great numbers despite limited playing time that he is still a viable fantasy starter every game. For those playing in later contests, Nikola Vucevic is another strong option in this price range.

Mason Plumlee, POR vs HOU ($5700): Plumlee has long been a favorite, with consistent assists adding to his nightly double-double potential that allows him to outperform his price tag. He's taken it up a level lately, and in his last tilt he flirted with a triple-double to the tune of 14 boards, 12 points, eight assists and a steal in 33 minutes.
