FanDuel NBA: Thursday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Thursday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

The NBA has a six-game schedule this Thursday, a slightly above-average number. The Timberwolves at Raptors, Nuggets at Wizards and 76ers at Pelicans all look like potential shootouts, provided neither team blows the other out. Anthony Davis is the only true superstar playing on the night, but John Wall has been making a case lately that he's the next best thing. Both have great matchups on Thursday. Should be a fun night.

John Wall, WAS vs. DEN ($9,800): Wall is coming off one of the best games of his career with a 52-point explosion, but he's been playing well for quite a while. In his last eight games, Wall has averaged 24.1 points, 11.5 assists, 4.4 boards and 2.6 steals per game. He's also facing a Nuggets defense that has been weak all season against opposing guards.

Will Barton, DEN at WAS ($5,700): Barton has been in the zone ever since returning from injury, averaging 18.5 points, 7.3 boards, 3.5 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.0 blocks in his four games back. He's also facing a Wizards defense that has struggled mightily against opposing guards in a game that has the hallmarks of a possible shootout.

Sergio Rodriguez, PHI at NO ($4,900): Rodriguez has been getting more run with Jerryd Bayless injured, helping to improve his numbers of late. In his last six games, Rodriguez is averaging 11.3 points, 6.5 assists, 3.3 boards and 1.5 steals per game.

Anthony Davis, NO vs. PHI ($12,100): Davis is the highest-priced player on Thursday, and for good reason. He has produced at least 58.6 fantasy points in each of his last eight games. On Thursday, he will face an overmatched 76ers frontline, though he and Joel Embiid could have some memorable exchanges.

Gordon Hayward, UTA vs. GS ($8,100): Hayward has scored at least 22 points in nine straight games, a period during which he is averaging 26.8 points, 5.2 boards, 3.8 assists and 1.6 steals. On Thursday, he faces a Warriors team that has given up some of the highest production in the league to opposing wings.

Dario Saric, PHI at NO ($4,500): Saric has seemed to come into his own over the last week, averaging 18.3 points, 9.0 boards and a steal in 25.7 minutes per game off the bench in his last three outings.

Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN at TOR ($9,200): Towns has double-doubles in seven of his last nine games, a stretch in which he is averaging 22.2 points, 12.8 boards, 2.4 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.0 steals per game. He is too much for the Raptors' frontline to contain, and they have not been particularly strong against opposing centers on the season.

Joel Embiid, PHI at NO ($6,600): Embiid's price continues to work its way up despite his minutes restriction, because when he does play he is still one of the most productive centers in the game. Over his last six outings, Embiid is averaging 20.5 points, 7.7 boards, 2.7 blocks and 2.3 assists, despite only playing 24.7 minutes per game.

Robin Lopez, CHI vs. SA ($5,200): Lopez has been unspectacular, yet solid, over his last three games, averaging 10.0 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in that stretch. Plus, on Thursday, he faces a Spurs defense that has struggled against opposing centers all season.
