FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Tuesday night brings six games on the NBA schedule. There are some intriguing matchups, including the Grizzlies against the Cavaliers and the Thunder against the Trail Blazers. The Timberwolves also face the Bulls in Tom Thibodeau's return to Chicago. Let's try to add to the excitement by bringing home some money on FanDuel. Here are some players to consider when creating your lineup…

Russell Westbrook, OKC at POR ($12,600): It's tough to spend this much of your budget on one player, but Westbrook makes it worth it. He is averaging 58.4 FanDuel points per game and never really throws up a dud. The only negative part of his play is that he is averaging 5.8 turnovers a game.

Zach LaVine, MIN at CHI ($6,200): LaVine has been solid of late as he has posted at least 28.6 FanDuel points in five of his last six games. While he is known mostly as a scorer, he is averaging 5.0 assists over his last three, as well. The Bulls tend to have lapses on defense, especially against lesser teams, so LaVine could go off in this game.

Tim Frazier, NO vs GS ($5,600): Frazier posted a triple-double Sunday against the Suns even though he came off of the bench, which is an impressive feat that should not be overlooked. Even as a member of the bench, he is still getting plenty of minutes. He has posted at least 28.3 FanDuel points in three of his last four games and

Tim Frazier, NO vs GS ($5,600): Frazier posted a triple-double Sunday against the Suns even though he came off of the bench, which is an impressive feat that should not be overlooked. Even as a member of the bench, he is still getting plenty of minutes. He has posted at least 28.3 FanDuel points in three of his last four games and I think he could put up another big night against the Warriors.

Jimmy Butler, CHI vs MIN ($9,000): Butler is on fire of late, posting at least 43.8 FanDuel points in five of his last six games. He gets to the line a ton, which makes his scoring output steady even on nights when his shot is not falling. Throw in his averages of 6.7 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.7 steals per game and you get an elite fantasy option. I'm looking for him to have a huge game against his former coach Tuesday.

Serge Ibaka, ORL at ATL ($6,200): Ibaka is off to a good start with his new team as he is averaging 14.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game. Although the Magic have a lot of options up front, Ibaka is still averaging 30 minutes. At this price, I think he has a high enough floor to warrant consideration against the Hawks.

Taj Gibson, CHI vs MIN ($5,500): Like Butler, Gibson will get the chance to show his old coach what he is missing Tuesday. Gibson has played really well for the Bulls this season, averaging 12.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 29 minutes per game. I wouldn't be surprised if he surpasses his season average of 25.5 FanDuel points per game, making him a solid value option considering his price tag.

Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN at CHI ($8,800): I know I'm going heavy on players in this game, but how can you argue against Towns? He has posted five straight double-doubles and plays a ton as he is averaging 35 minutes per game this season. Robin Lopez is a solid center who I think is underrated, but he's not going to shut down Towns.

Tyson Chandler, PHO vs NY ($5,300): I might be one of the few that gets excited about these kinds of matchups, but I'm looking forward to watching Chandler battle with Joakim Noah as both are excellent rebounders even in the later stages of their careers. Chandler pulled down a whopping 21 boards Sunday against the Pelicans and is averaging 11.5 rebounds in only 27 minutes per game this season. I'd give him a shot at this price.

Tristan Thompson, CLE vs MEM ($5,000): Thompson is usually one of the cheaper center options, but he can put up some valuable stat lines. He has posted at least 26.4 FanDuel points in three of his last four games and is averaging 23.4 FanDuel points per game on the season overall. Marc Gasol will be out due to rest in this contest, so Thompson will get an easier matchup at the five.
