FanDuel NBA: Monday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

This Monday slate is one of the most unique in the DFS landscape, as there's a multitude of NBA games being played all throughout the day. The reason for the strange schedule is that it's Martin Luther King Jr. Day and it's a day to celebrate basketball. While that does make it tough in terms of injury designations, it's crucial to be safe in this sort of situation and avoid any murky circumstances...

John Wall, WSH vs. POR ($9.500): Wall has been ridiculous for over a month now and he should continue his success against this putrid Portland defense. Not only does he have at least 41 fantasy points in nine out of his last 10 games, he's shown the ability to go off for 62 fantasy points in that span. What makes him so enticing here is the matchup though, as the Blazers rank 28th in defensive efficiency. This price makes Wall a great value too, as he's a five-figure player with his current form.

Dennis Schroder, ATL at NYK ($6,600): Schroeder has been downright terrible over his last two games, but it's lowered his price to a very attractive number. Prior to that two-game dud, Schroeder had scored 29 or more fantasy points in 10 of his previous 11 games. The reason he could recapture that form here is the matchup, as he faces a defensively-inept Derrick Rose. In fact, New York is allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to point guards over their last 10 games, while ranking 25th in defensive efficiency for the season.

Victor Oladipo, OKC at LAC ($5,700): The Clippers are a tough matchup on the surface, but it's Russell Westbrook who has the hard matchup, not Oladipo. Westbrook will be squared up with the defensively-sound Chris Paul, while Oladipo will face off with either Austin Rivers or J.J. Redick. Those are two players that Oladipo has a huge advantage over and Westbrook is a smart enough player to realize that. Oladipo's price is extremely affordable too, as he's a $7,000 talent when playing at a top-level.

Draymond Green, GS vs. CLE ($7,800): There's something about Green when he sees the Cavaliers that makes him step up his play, as he's posted some gaudy numbers against them. In eight games against the Cavs last year, Green averaged 17.1 points, 10.5 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. That's over 45 fantasy points a game and he's likely to see 40 minutes here against what's become one of their biggest rivals in the league. At under $8,000. Green is one of the best bets at power forward to exceed 5X value. .

Paul George, IND vs. NOP ($7,600): George has seen his price drop over recent weeks, but this is simply too cheap for someone of his ability. What I really like here is the fact that he's had some time to rest, as he's played once in the last eight days due to their London trip. That ugly London game is also unfair to George's form, as the Pacers were blown out, thus limiting George's production. While the Pelicans defense has been much better over recent weeks, it's still a matchup that a player like George can expose with their lack of wing depth. It's the price that makes George so hard to pass up though, as he's one of the only players below $8,000 who has 50-point potential.

Derrick Favors, UTA at PHX ($4,700): Favors has been slow to recover from a knee injury, but he's finally starting to play a full complement of minutes and return to his 2015 form. Not only is he averaging nearly 30 minutes a game across his last seven games, he's shown some signs of life in terms of fantasy production, dropping 23 or more fantasy points in five of those games. The best part about this play is the price though, as Favors was regularly a $7,000 player when healthy in the past. The matchup is spectacular too, with Phoenix ranking 23rd in fantasy points allowed to power forwards and 26th in defensive deficiency.

DeAndre Jordan, LAC vs. OKC ($7,900): People need to take notice of how dominant Jordan becomes with Griffin out of the lineup, as he's the best rebounder in the league right now. Not only did he lead the league in rebounding last season with Griffin out, Jordan is averaging 15.8 rebounds since December 16. That's absurd production and it doesn't take into consideration he's adding nearly 13 points and two blocks as well to his averages in that span. While the Thunder have been a tough matchup this season for centers, they're allowing centers to score the fourth-most fantasy points against them across their last 10 games.

Myles Turner, IND vs. NOP ($6,800): Turner has shown the ability to go off this season and this price isn't indicative of that fact. It's the 44 fantasy points across his last two games that's lowered his price, but that's unfair with his prior form. In fact, he had been averaging over 45 fantasy points across his previous three games. That's incredible production for a $6,800 player, as he could live up to those standards here against a New Orleans team that allows the sixth-most fantasy points to centers this season..

Joakim Noah, NYK vs. ATL ($4,900): Noah has been a different player without Kristaps Porzingis in the lineup and he should see plenty of opportunity again here with KP expected to miss this game. What makes him so good in Porzingis' absence is the fact that he's leaned on to rebound more and provide more offense than usual. That's evident through the fact that he's averaging 8.1 points and 10.8 rebounds across his last 13 games. That doesn't even take into consideration the fact that he can provide assists and elite defensive statistics with those other numbers. The price is the best part of this play though, as he's the only center south of $5,000 who has a 20-point floor.
