FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Picks

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Picks

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Tuesday night will be a quiet one in the NBA with only three games on the schedule. While that leaves fewer options than most nights when creating your FanDuel lineup, that doesn't mean there aren't great options still available. Here are some of the better options to hopefully help bring home a DFS victory and offset what you spent on Valentine's gifts…

Kyrie Irving, CLE at MIN ($9,000): The Cavaliers will be without Kevin Love (knee) Tuesday against the Timberwolves, creating more scoring opportunities for Irving. Love missed a game earlier this month against these same Timberwolves, and Irving scored 38.4 FanDuel points as a result. Irving has scored at least 23 points in each of his last four, so look for him to continue his offensive ways in this contest.

Darren Collison, SAC at LAL ($5,700): Collison has played at least 41 minutes in each of the team's last two games with Ty Lawson (leg) out of action. He has cashed in those extra minutes by scoring at least 34.6 FanDuel points in both contests. Lawson's status for this game Tuesday against the Lakers is still uncertain. Even if he does manage to play, this is still a favorable matchup for Collison as the Lakers allow an average of 45.8 FanDuel points to opposing point guards, which is sixth most in the league.

Nick Young, LAL vs. SAC ($4,600): This is a fun game for guards as the Kings are not very good defensively either. They currently allow 37.8 FanDuel points per game to opposing shooting guards, which is third most in the league. Enter Young, who has scored at least 25 FanDuel points in three of his last four games. The price is right to take a chance on him Tuesday.

LeBron James, CLE at MIN ($11,500): James destroyed the Timberwolves when they met earlier this month as he finished with 58.6 FanDuel points. He also gets an added boost with Love being out, making him attractive Tuesday even at this lofty price. A James and Irving stack has the makings of a productive evening.

Matt Barnes, SAC at LAL ($5,100): The Lakers are not only terrible against opposing point guards, but they are allowing the third most FanDuel points to opposing small forwards at 39.3 per game. Barnes has been a steady all-around contributor of late, as he is averaging 12.2 points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists over his last five. It's hard to pass him up at this price.

Channing Frye, CLE at MIN ($4,600): The cupboard is pretty bare at power forward Tuesday with Love out. The good news is you can at least save money with Frye, who will replace Love in the starting lineup, which he also did when these two teams met earlier this month. Frye ended that game with 30.3 FanDuel points, making him a nice value play again Tuesday.

DeMarcus Cousins, SAC at LAL ($11,400): Simply put, the Lakers don't have anyone who can guard Cousins. They are allowing an average of 50.4 FanDuel points to opposing centers, which is second most in the league. Cousins has scored at least 42.7 FanDuel points over his last several games, so you shouldn't hesitate to roll with him.

Tristan Thompson, CLE at MIN ($6,400): Thompson has played well of late, as he has scored at least 34.1 FanDuel points in three of his last six games. He also had a big performance when these two teams met earlier this month, scoring 41.1 FanDuel points. If you need a mid-tier option at center Tuesday, Thompson holds the most promise.
