FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

The NBA follows up a quiet Tuesday schedule with 11 games Wednesday, highlighted by the Jazz against the Rockets and the Celtics against the Warriors. There are lots of options to choose from for you FanDuel lineup, so let's take a look at some of the better value plays to consider.

Isaiah Thomas, BOS at GS ($9,400): This is going to be a fun matchup between Thomas and Stephen Curry. Thomas continues to lead the way for the Celtics and has scored at least 42.9 FanDuel points in three of his last four games. The Celtics are going to need him to carry the offense again Wednesday to keep pace with the Warriors, so expect another big performance.

Tim Hardaway Jr., ATL vs. BKN ($5,900): Hardaway has played at least 33 minutes in each of his last three games and came away with at least 30.3 FanDuel points in all three of those contests. He gets a great matchup Wednesday against a Nets squad that allows the most FanDuel points to opposing shooting guards at 39.4 per game. Considering his price tag, Hardaway looks like a good value play.

Ish Smith, DET at IND ($4,600): Smith has been challenging Reggie Jackson for playing time of late and has scored at least 22.9 FanDuel points in three of his last four games. While he doesn't provide a ton of offense, his ability to dish out assists is what gives him solid value as he has at least seven assists in three of those same four games. If you want to take a chance on a cheap point guard Wednesday, Smith might be your man.

Jimmy Butler, CHI at ORL ($9,200): Butler had an excellent performance in January against this same Magic team when he scored 43.6 FanDuel points. Although Butler can have his struggles from the field, his ability to get to the free-throw line and contribute in other categories still leaves him with significant fantasy value on most nights. Dwayne Wade (thigh) is listed as doubtful for this game, so look for Butler to try and carry the Bulls to victory.

Aaron Gordon, ORL vs. CHI ($5,700): Gordon has played well recently as he has scored at least 30 FanDuel points in each of his last three games. The trade of Serge Ibaka has resulted in more playing time for Gordon as he has played at least 30 minutes in each of those same three games. He's reasonably priced Wednesday against a Bulls team that isn't as strong defensively at power forward anymore since they traded away Taj Gibson.

Terrence Ross, ORL vs. CHI ($4,500): Ross has scored at least 25.5 FanDuel points in four of his last six games. The other two games where he didn't at least reach that total both came against the Knicks oddly enough. He is playing a ton of minutes with his new squad and is not only taking a lot of shots, but he also has five blocks and five steals over his last three games. The Bulls tend to struggle against bad teams, so Ross is worth a shot at this cheap price.

Rudy Gobert, UTA at HOU ($7,800): Gobert has been a monster of late as he has scored at least 43.5 FanDuel points in both of his last two games. Not only can he fall out of bed and collect a double-double, but he also has at least two blocks in each of his last eight games. The Rockets allow 49.8 FanDuel points per game to opposing centers, which is third most in the league. Gobert could be in for another huge line in this contest.

Cody Zeller, CHA at MIA ($5,800): Frank Kaminsky (shoulder) has sat out the last two games, which has led to increased playing time for Zeller. While he hasn't put up eye-popping numbers, he did score at least 25.6 FanDuel points in both games while Kaminsky was out. With Kaminsky out again Wednesday, Zeller makes for a nice mid-tier option at center.

Kosta Koufos, SAC at SA ($4,700): Koufos has seen more consistent playing time of late as he has played at least 24 minutes in each of the last four games. He has seen his production increase as a result as he scored at least 26.5 FanDuel points in three of those four contests. Wednesday won't be a cake walk against the Spurs, but Koufos could still provide value if you need to save money at center.
