Yahoo DFS Basketball: Sunday-Monday Picks

This article is part of our Yahoo DFS Basketball series.

For this slate, we get the San Antonio-Golden State Game 1 on Sunday and the Boston-Washington Game 7 on Monday. The best way to approach this schedule is to stack the Wizards and Celtics game, as it's the more fantasy-friendly matchup. Not only is it a Game 7 in which the starters will be playing bloated minutes, the Warriors and Spurs game features two of the best defenses in the league.

GUARD

John Wall, WSH at BOS ($51): Wall is averaging 27.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 10.3 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks per game in the playoffs, as he's turning into one of the best players in the league. What's just as encouraging is his usage, as he ranks fifth in usage rate among starters in the postseason. Wall is getting all that usage while playing 39 minutes and taking 22 shots per game, as it's clear the Wizards want to lean on their stud. That reliance should only rise in Game 7.

Avery Bradley, BOS vs. WSH ($23): Bradley scored 79.3 fantasy points on 60 percent shooting over his last two games, as his role on offense has expanded, taking 37 shots while averaging 36 minutes per game over that span.

Guard to Avoid

Klay Thompson, GS vs. SAN ($32): Like most shooting guards, Thompson has not been able to figure out the Spurs defense this season, as he is averaging just 17.0 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game against San Antonio this year. Those are ugly numbers from the All-Star and it should come as no surprise considering the Spurs ranked top-three in numerous defensive categories. Additionally, Thompson has failed to crack 24 fantasy points in four of his last five games, as Kevin Durant and Draymond Green are doing more on the offensive end.

FORWARD

Draymond Green, GS vs. SAN ($38): Green is averaging 14.9 points, 9.1 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.6 blocks per game in his eight starts this postseason. The matchup against San Antonio is extremely tough, but his ability to stuff the stat sheet should allow him to accrue fantasy points in what could be a defensive struggle.

Markieff Morris, WSH at BOS ($21): Morris has scored at least 32 fantasy points in four of the past five games, averaging 36 minutes per contest in that span. He produces when he plays, and as long as he stays out of foul trouble, he should have no problem making value at just $21.

Forward to Avoid

Andre Iguodala, GS vs. SAN ($16): Iguodala has had a spectacular postseason, but it would be hard to imagine him duplicating that success against the Spurs, who allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to small forwards this season. It's just too difficult to use someone who won't play 30 minutes and is looking at the toughest matchup in basketball.

CENTER

Al Horford, BOS vs. WSH ($29): Horford is one of the only centers in the playoffs who is trustworthy, and he always makes for a nice crutch at such a shallow position. He is averaging 37.1 fantasy points per game during the postseason, scoring at least 27 in each game. That's solid value for a player under $30, and he should be used as heavily as ever in Game 7.

Center to Avoid

Pau Gasol, SAN at GS ($17): San Antonio's center position has been in flux all season and it's very possible they may choose to avoid one altogether in this series. Much of that is due to the matchup, as Golden State forces teams to play small-ball more than any other team. Additionally, Gasol played 20 minutes or fewer in two of his last three games despite starting each one.
