DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Tuesday brings a quiet night in the NBA with only three games on the schedule. With the Oklahoma City Thunder, Toronto Raptors and Portland Trail Blazers being three of the teams taking the floor, there is still plenty of elite talent to choose from for your DraftKings entry. Consider playing the below to hopefully end the evening a winner.

Guards

Kyle Lowry, TOR vs. PHO ($8,700): Lowry struggled to shoot only 4-of-11 from the field in his last game Friday against the Indiana Pacers, but he still came away with 31.8 DraftKings points based on his ability to contribute with rebounds and assists. He had scored at least 43.8 DraftKings points in four straight games and is playing his best basketball of the season. The Suns allow the most DraftKings points per game (52.5) to opposing point guards, so Lowry could be in for a big night Tuesday.

Devin Booker, PHO at TOR ($8,000): Booker followed up a 38-point performance Saturday against the Boston Celtics with 46 points Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers. He took a whopping 61 total shots in those two games, which should come as little surprise based on his 29.7% usage rate. The Suns play at the second-fastest pace (105.3) in the league, so expect much of the same from him offensively in this game.

Alec Burks, UTA at OKC ($4,500): Burks has really stepped up with Rodney Hood (ankle) out of action, scoring at least 35.8 DraftKings points in three straight games. Offense is the name of the game for Burks as he scored at least 24 points in all three contests. Hood's status is uncertain for Tuesday but if he sits again, make sure Burks is in your lineup.

Forwards

DeMar DeRozan, TOR vs. PHO ($8,500): DeRozan has scored almost four fewer points per game than last season, but he's made up for that some by averaging a career-high 4.7 assists per game this year. He's still an elite offensive weapon and his 30.1% usage rate puts him in the top-10 in the league. Considering the Suns' struggles on defense, this could be a big scoring night for DeRozan.

T.J. Warren, PHO at TOR ($6,400): Warren has established himself as the second best offensive player on the Suns as he is averaging a career-high 18.7 points per game. Like Booker, Warren benefits from the Suns up tempo style of play and has taken at least 19 shots in three of his last four games as a result. He presents a high-upside option who won't kill your budget Tuesday.

Joe Ingles, UTA at OKC ($4,900): The Jazz absolutely annihilated the Wizards on Monday, which lead to Ingles scoring only 18.5 DraftKings in 23 minutes. He had played at least 26 minutes in five straight games, scoring at least 24 DraftKings points in four of them. With limited options to pick from tonight, Ingles is one of the better cheap options to consider at forward.

Centers

Jusuf Nurkic, POR vs. WAS ($7,200): Nurkic laid an egg Saturday against the New Orleans Pelicans when he scored only 14 DraftKings points. Don't read too much into that though as it wasn't an ideal matchup against DeMarcus Cousins. Nurkic had scored at least 31.3 DraftKings points in five straight games, one of which was a 34.8 DraftKings point performance against these same Wizards. Expect him to rebound in a big way for this game.

Steven Adams, OKC vs. UTA ($5,900): Adams continues to anchor the Thunder at center and he is averaging a career-high 31 minutes per game. Despite having more talented players in the starting five this year, Adams is having the best season of his career as there is very little depth behind him up front. The trio of Russell Westbrook, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony eat up a lot of shots, but Adams has still been able to score in large part due to his 4.3 offensive rebounds per game. The price is right to take a chance on him again Tuesday based on his role on the team.

Jonas Valanciunas, TOR vs. PHO ($4,800): Valanciunas is on a bit of a hot streak for his standards by averaging 13.7 points and 7.3 rebounds over his last three games. The Raptors played him at least 20 minutes in each of those games, something he had only done once in six of his previous seven games. He usually produces when he gets extended minutes, which might be the case against a big Suns front court Tuesday. If you want to save money at center, he might be worth the risk.
