FanDuel NBA: Monday Cheat Sheet

FanDuel NBA: Monday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Monday will be a busy night in the NBA with 10 games on the schedule. With James Harden, Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant all playing, there is a lot high-end talent to choose from for your FanDuel entry. Let's take a look at some players across the price scale that can hopefully help you end your night a winner.

Guards

Russell Westbrook, OKC vs. DEN ($11,300): Westbrook continues to lead the star trio in Oklahoma City with the fourth-highest usage rate (33.8%) in the league. He has played at least 35 minutes in each of his last 15 games, giving him tremendous value based on that usage rate. The Nuggets allow the fifth-most FanDuel points per game (48.2) to opposing point guards, so look for Westbrook to put up some big numbers Monday.

Donovan Mitchell, UTA at HOU ($7,400): Mitchell is a focal point for the Jazz offensively, posting a 29.1% usage rate that ranks inside the top 20 in the league. The Jazz have already played the Rockets twice this season with Mitchell averaging 21.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.5 three-pointers in those games. The Rockets play at the eighth-fastest pace (101.7) in the league, so look for Mitchell to get plenty of chances to score as the Jazz try to keep up.

Patrick McCaw, GS at LAL ($3,500): The Warriors will be without Stephen Curry (ankle) and Shaun Livingston (knee) Monday, which could open up significant playing time for McCaw. He has shown potential when given extended run, scoring at least 18.2 FanDuel points in two of the three games that he played at least 20 minutes this season. He will only cost you the minimum, so he might be worth the risk.

Forwards

Kevin Durant, GS at LAL ($12,000): The Warriors will be without two of their best players Monday as both Curry and Draymond Green (shoulder) won't play. They missed the previous two games as well, resulting in at least 51.3 FanDuel points for Durant in each contest. This could be a high-scoring game as the Lakers and Warriors are both in the top-five in the league in terms of pace of play, making Durant someone to definitely consider.

Dario Saric, PHI at CHI ($6,500): Saric has provided consistent production lately, scoring at least 28.1 FanDuel points in four straight games. Joel Embiied (rest) won't play Monday and Saric has seen an increase in production with him out, averaging 16.4 points and 9.4 rebounds in five games without him this season. The Bulls don't have much such size outside of Robin Lopez, so this has the makings of an ideal matchup for Saric.

Jordan Bell, GS at LAL ($4,700): With Green and Zaza Pachulia (shoulder) out the last two games, Bell started and played at least 24 minutes in both contests. He cashed in the extra minutes, scoring at least 25.2 FanDuel points each game. The Lakers have depth up front, so expect Bell to get extended minutes again in this game. He won't cost you much, so he can provide value.

Centers

Dwight Howard, CHA vs. NY ($8,500): Howard provides a high floor as he at least approaches a double-double on most nights. He's been excellent on the boards lately, averaging 14.7 rebounds over his last six games. He scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds against the Knicks earlier this season and should get plenty of minutes again in this game considering the Knicks depth at center. Don't hesitate to make Howard a part of your entry.

Al Horford, BOS at IND ($7,600): Horford may not be one of the more potent scorers in the league, but he provides a lot of value with his playmaking abilities, averaging a career-high 5.4 assists per game this season. He gets a great matchup Monday against a Pacers squad that allows the second-most FanDuel points per game (59.9) to opposing centers. This is a very reasonable price for Horford considering his upside against the Pacers.

Richaun Holmes, PHI at CHI ($4,500): Not only will the Sixers be without Embiid on Monday, but Trevor Booker (ankle) also won't play. That leaves the Sixers pretty thin up front. While the Bulls like to go small with Bobby Portis playing center for the second unit, Lopez has played at least 29 minutes in five of his last six games. Holmes has scored at least 26.2 FanDuel points in three of his last five games and could provide excellent value if you want to save money at center.
