DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

The NBA has a limited slate Tuesday with only five games on the schedule. It might be a low-scoring night on DraftKings with only two of the top-10 teams in the league in terms of pace of play (Phoenix Suns and Charlotte Hornets) in action. Let's take a look at some players to consider for your entry to hopefully give you the winning edge.

Guards

Tyreke Evans, MEM at LAC ($8,200): Evans continues to be one of the few offensive weapons on the Grizzlies, especially with Mike Conley (Achilles) still out. He's scored at least 42.3 DraftKings points in six straight games, showing he's more than capable of taking on an expanded role. His 28.1% usage rate ranks inside the top-25 in the league, so expect much of the same Tuesday against the Clippers, a team he torched for 64.8 DraftKings points in their last meeting.

Taurean Prince, ATL at PHO ($5,500): Prince has shown flashes of promise this season, but he's priced this low because he is very inconsistent. In his last 13 games, he has scored at least 17 points six times. However, he has also scored 10 points or fewer in five of those games. His rebounding numbers have helped boost his value lately, scoring at least 28.3 DraftKings points in three straight games. The Suns play at the third fastest pace (103 possessions per game) in the league, so Prince may have some added chances to be productive in this game. He might be worth the risk at this price.

Marco Belinelli, ATL at PHO ($3,800): With so few of the uptempo teams in the league playing Tuesday, you want to take advantage of the only two that are. Not only are the Suns one of them, but they also allow the most points per game (112.4) in the league. Belinelli can score in bunches and has provided value of late, scoring at least 21 DraftKings points in four of his last five games. He won't cost you much, making him a value play to consider.

Forwards

Blake Griffin, LAC vs. MEM ($8,400): Griffin looks to be playing like his normal self, scoring at least 41 DraftKings points in both games since he returned from a knee injury. He averaged 24.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists in those two games and should continue to put up excellent all-around numbers as the main man for the Clippers. His 30.2% usage rate is 13th-best in the league, so don't expect the Grizzlies to be able to slow him down Tuesday.

T.J. Warren, PHO vs. ATL ($6,800): While the Suns play at the third-fastest pace in the league, they don't have many offensive weapons, averaging only the 13th-most points per game (105.8). Warren is the second best scorer they have behind Devin Booker and is taking a career-high 16.3 shot attempts per game as a result. The Hawks allow the third-most DraftKings points per game (42.8) to opposing small forwards, making Warren someone to consider at this reasonable price.

Frank Kaminsky, CHA at SAC ($4,300): The Hornets are still thin up front with Cody Zeller (knee) out, leaving Kaminsky to be the primary backup at both power forward and center. He's taken advantage of the added minutes, scoring at least 27.3 DraftKings points in four of his last seven games. The Kings have a lot of size up front, so Kaminsky may be needed to log even more minutes Tuesday. He won't cost much and has upside, making him a viable option for your entry.

Centers

Dwight Howard, CHA at SAC ($7,400): Howard is coming off a rough game Sunday where he scored only 21 DraftKings points against the Clippers. It was a tough matchup battling another excellent rebounder in DeAndre Jordan, so he should have a much easier task Tuesday against the Kings. Not only are their frontcourt rotations a mess, but the Kings allow the second-most DraftKings points per game (56.2) to opposing centers. Look for Howard to bounce back with a very productive night Tuesday.

Pau Gasol, SA at NY ($6,900): Gasol has turned back the clock lately, averaging 14.8 points, 12.2 rebounds and 5.6 assists over his last five games. One of those was an excellent performance against these same Knicks when he scored 43.3 DraftKings points. While it's highly unlikely that Gasol will be able to keep up this pace for the rest of the season, he's priced reasonably low enough to take a chance on again Tuesday based on his recent hot streak and success against the Knicks previously.

John Collins, ATL at PHO ($4,900): The Hawks have yet to unleash Collins, who has played 27 minutes or less in each of his last 12 games. Despite his limited playing time, he still managed to score at least 23.3 DraftKings points in nine of those games. The Suns have depth at center, so maybe Collins can squeeze in a few extra minutes in this contest. With so few viable cheap options available, Collins might be your best bet if you need to save money at center.
