DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Tuesday brings only four games in the NBA, leaving you with fewer options than normal for your DraftKings entry. There aren't many elite players in action as a result, but there is still value to be had. Here are some players with promising matchups to consider for your entry.

Guards

DeMar DeRozan, TOR vs. MIA ($8,300): DeRozan is red hot right now, averaging 33.4 points over his last five games. He has shown significant improvement from behind the arc, averaging a career-high 1.2 three-pointers per game this season. His usage rate of 30% is 14th-highest in the league and it could be off the charts Tuesday if Kyle Lowry (back) is unable to play. He's one of the more expensive option for the night, but he has terrific upside.

Dennis Smith Jr., DAL vs. ORL ($6,200): Smith has provided consistent production despite playing limited minutes, scoring at least 30.5 DraftKings points in four of his last five games. On a Mavericks team that struggles to score, Smith's 27.6% usage rate ranks inside the top 20 in the league. This is an excellent matchup against a Magic team that not only plays at the sixth-fastest pace (101.9 possessions per game) in the league, but also allows the most DraftKings points per game (50.6) to opposing point guards.

Delon Wright, TOR vs. MIA ($4,400): Wright is starting to see increased playing time and has shown he has upside. He has played at least 20 minutes in six of his last nine games, scoring at least 24.8 DraftKings points in five of those six contests. If Lowry is not able to play Tuesday, the Raptors are going to need someone else to help pick up the slack offensively, which could make Wright a nice value play at his cheap price.

Forwards

Harrison Barnes, DAL vs. ORL ($7,000): With the Mavericks lacking depth on their roster, Barnes is on pace to average 35 minutes per game for the second straight season. He has a high floor based on his playing time and 24.9% usage rate, resulting in at least 32.8 DraftKings points in four straight games. The Magic allow the fourth-most points per game (110.7) in the league, so Barnes may be able to cash in for a big performance.

Josh Richardson, MIA at TOR ($6,200): The Heat have been hit hard by injuries this season, which has resulted in Richardson averaging a career-high 34 minutes per game. While they do have a few players back, Dion Waiters (ankle) and Justise Winslow (knee) are still out. Richardson has scored at least 30.3 DraftKings points in nine of his last 12 games, making him someone to consider for your entry at this reasonable price.

Bogdan Bogdanovic, SAC at LAL ($4,900): The Kings continue to change up their starting lineup and rotations, but Bogdanovic has still been able to log at least 28 minutes in eight of his last nine games. He's shown the ability to be more than just a shooter, dishing out at least five assists in four straight games. Bogdanovic scored 14 points to go along with seven assists, two steals and two three-pointers in his first meeting with the Lakers this season, which is not surprising considering the Lakers struggles on defense. He could be one of the better cheap plays of the evening.

Centers

Willie Cauley-Stein, SAC at LAL ($6,600): Cauley-Stein is one of the other players who has managed to stay productive despite the Kings inconsistencies, scoring at least 30.8 DraftKings points in seven of his last eight games. He was excellent against the Lakers earlier this season, scoring a season-high 26 points to go along with six rebounds. The Lakers play at the fastest pace (103.9) in the league, so look for Cauley-Stein to have plenty of chances to be productive again Tuesday.

Julius Randle, LAL vs. SAC ($6,100): After coming off the bench for the majority of this season, Randle has started each of the team's last six games. He's thrived in the new role, averaging 16.8 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. He's playing almost five minutes more per game as a starter, which is big when you consider his 24.5% usage rate is third-highest on the team. The Kings struggle to defend power forwards and centers, making Randle someone to consider for your entry.

Serge Ibaka, TOR vs. MIA ($5,600): Ibaka continues to roll along for the Raptors, scoring at least 32.3 DraftKings points in three of his last four games. Once an elite shot blocker, Ibaka has looked like his old self of late, blocking 13 shots over his last four games. If Lowry is unable to play Tuesday, Ibaka could be in line for some added scoring opportunities as well. He should be one of the safer center options to provide value considering his price.
