DraftKings NBA: Monday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Monday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

The NBA starts the week off strong with 10 games on the schedule Monday. Let's get right down to business and take a look at some players with favorable matchups who can hopefully help you bring home some money on DraftKings.

Guards

Jrue Holiday, NO vs. PHO ($8,100): While all the talk has been around Anthony Davis's monster performance since DeMarcus Cousins (Achilles) went down, Holiday has been a star himself. He has scored at least 49.3 DraftKings points in four straight games and has a 25.1% usage rate in February. The Suns play at the fourth-fastest pace (102.2 possessions per game) and allow the most points per game (113) in the league, making Holiday a great option for your entry.

D'Angelo Russell, BKN vs. CHI ($6,300): It's been a long road back for Russell since missing more than two months earlier this season with a knee injury, coming off the bench in his first 13 games since his return. He finally reentered to the starting lineup Thursday against Hornets, playing 32 minutes and scoring 33 DraftKings points. He's now scored at least 33 DraftKings points in three of his last four contests. The Bulls are tied for the sixth-most points per game allowed (109.6) in the league, so expect Russell to have another value performance.

Trey Burke, NY vs. GS ($4,600): The Knicks have decided to play Burke more down the stretch, giving him at least 26 minutes in both of the last two games. He hasn't let them down, scoring at least 40.5 DraftKings points in each contest. He showed he's not just a scorer too, dishing out at least six assists in both games. At this cheap price, it makes a lot of sense to take a chance on him continuing his hot streak Monday against a Warriors team that plays at the second-fastest pace (102.5) in the league.

Forwards

Anthony Davis, NO vs. PHO ($11,700): Davis continues to provide huge numbers, scoring at least 60 DraftKings points in four of his last five games. He also scored at least 87.8 DraftKings points twice during that same stretch. His usage rate is off the charts in February at 34.9%, by far his highest of any month this season. Not only do the Suns struggle on defense and play at a fast pace, but the Pelicans also play at the third-fastest pace (102.3) in the league. He has one of the highest upsides in DFS of anyone in the league, so don't be afraid to pay up for him Monday.

Andrew Wiggins, MIN at SAC ($6,600): Wiggins is going to be more involved offensively now that Jimmy Butler (knee) is out of action. He showed that right away in the first game Butler missed Saturday, scoring 23 points and taking 18 shots against the Bulls. He averaged 23.6 points per game and had a 29% usage rate last season with Butler still on the Bulls, showing he can have a high ceiling. At this mid-tier price, he could provide excellent value.

David Nwaba, CHI at BKN ($4,900): Nwaba is getting plenty of playing time since moving into the starting lineup, logging at least 33 minutes in both of his starts. He scored 40.3 DraftKings points Thursday against the Sixers, but came back to reality a bit with 24.3 DraftKings points Saturday against the Timberwolves. Both the Bulls and the Nets struggle defensively, so this has the potential to be a high-scoring affair. Nwaba is priced low enough to warrant consideration for your entry.

Centers

Julius Randle, LAL at ATL ($7,800): Randle is in a grove right now, scoring at least 41.8 DraftKings points in four of his last five games. He doesn't always provide great defensive numbers, but he did dish out at least six assists in three of those contests. The Hawks struggle to defend up front, allowing the third-most DraftKings points per game to both power forwards and centers. Look for Randle to thrive in this game.

Bobby Portis, CHI at BKN ($6,300): Like Randle, Portis doesn't provide much in the way of defensive stats. He gets plenty of opportunities to score though with his 26.6% usage rate ranking second-highest on the team. The Bulls have benched Robin Lopez and while they did bring Cristiano Felicio back into the rotation, Lopez's absence helps Portis as well. Portis has the potential to provide value at this reasonable price Monday.

Alex Len, PHO at NO ($5,600):Tyson Chandler (neck) has missed the Suns last three games, opening up the starting job for Len. Finally given an opportunity for consistent playing time, Len scored at least 33.8 DraftKings points in all three of those contests. The Pelicans have allowed the fifth-most DraftKings points per game (59) to opposing centers over their last 10 games, leaving Len as someone to strongly consider for your entry if Chandler is sidelined again.
