DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Tuesday brings a busy night in the NBA with eight games on the schedule. With the Cavaliers, Pelicans and Trail Blazers all in action, there are plenty of star players taking the floor. Let's take a look at some players across the price scale who could help you win some money on DraftKings.

Guards

Damian Lillard, POR at NO ($9,400): Lillard continues to propel the Trail Blazers towards home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs, posting a 30.4% usage rate that ranks inside the top 15 in the league. He has a high floor in DFS as a result, scoring at least 42.8 DraftKings points in eight of his last 10 games. Tuesday brings an excellent matchup against the Pelicans, who play at the third-fastest pace (102.6 possessions per game) in the league. The only concern with Lillard is that he is expecting the birth of his child any day now, so make sure to keep an eye on his status leading up to tipoff.

Quinn Cook, GS vs. IND ($5,900): The Warriors continue to be without several key players and will likely be missing Stephen Curry (knee), Klay Thompson (thumb) and Kevin Durant (ribs) on Tuesday. Draymond Green (illness) may return, but that's still a lot of offense to make up for. Quinn has been excellent filling in for all their injuries, scoring at least 32.8 DraftKings points in five straight games. His price is climbing, but it's still low enough to leave him with value.

Gerald Green, HOU vs. CHI ($4,700): The Rockets are taking advantage of facing the lowly Bulls on Tuesday by resting James Harden. While Eric Gordon will likely slide into the starting lineup in his place, it also means an expanded opportunity for Green. He was excellent is 32 minutes against another bad tanking team in the Hawks on Sunday, scoring 40.8 DraftKings points. The Bulls have allowed an average of 117.3 points in their last eight games, making Green a great cheap option to consider for your entry.

Forwards

LaMarcus Aldridge, SA at WAS ($9,200): The Spurs were resting their star players at this time of the year in recent seasons, but they are still fighting to just make the playoffs right now. Aldridge is doing his best to help the Spurs extend their season, scoring at least 47.8 DraftKings points in five straight games. One of those games came against these same Wizards when he finished with 50.3 DraftKings points. He'll continue to lead their offense with Kawhi Leonard (quad) out, giving him a high upside again Tuesday.

Kevin Love, CLE at MIA ($7,800): Love has been rolling since he returned from a hand injury, scoring at least 37 DraftKings points in all four games. He's logged at least 30 minutes in three straight contests, so expect him to get his normal allotment of playing time moving forward. He's the clear second-best scoring option on the Cavaliers with Isaiah Thomas now on the Lakers, so expect him to have plenty of opportunities to produce in this game.

David Nwaba, CHI at HOU ($4,700): The Bulls are running out of healthy players with Kris Dunn (toe), Zach LaVine (knee) and Antonio Blakeney (wrist) all out Tuesday. To make matters worse, both Denzel Valentine (knee) and Lauri Markannen (back) are questionable. If Valentine can't go, Nwaba should see significant playing time. He has played at least 30 minutes in a game 11 times this season, averaging 12.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.5 steals per contest. The price is right to consider taking a chance on him reaching that threshold Tuesday.

Centers

DeAndre Jordan, LAC vs. MIL ($8,000): Jordan has had a couple of subpar performances, recording 29.8 DraftKings points or fewer in back-to-back contests. Don't jump off the bandwagon yet though as he destroyed the Bucks last week, scoring 56.5 DraftKings points. The Bucks allow the second-most DraftKings points per game (54.8) to opposing centers, leaving Jordan with a high upside for your entry.

Kelly Olynyk, MIA vs. CLE ($6,700): The Heat will continue to be thin up front with Hassan Whiteside (hip) set to miss his ninth straight game. Olynyk has excelled in his absence, scoring at least 32.5 DraftKings points six times. The Cavaliers may be on a five-game winning streak, but they still allowed an average of 112.8 points over that stretch. If you don't want to pay up for Jordan, Olynyk can also provide value.

Tarik Black, HOU vs. CHI ($3,000): Not only will Harden not play Tuesday, but the Rockets have also decided to rest Clint Capela. Black and Nene Hilario will be left to pick up the slack with Capela out, but the Rockets have already been resting Nene at times this month. Even if Black doesn't start, it wouldn't be a surprise if he played more minutes than Nene. The Bulls allow the seventh-most DraftKings points per game (53.3) to opposing centers, making Black someone to consider in tournament play at the minimum price.
