DraftKings NBA: Saturday Picks

DraftKings NBA: Saturday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

After a busy night Friday, the NBA settles down with six games Saturday. Only five of them make up the main slate on DraftKings, leaving limited options for your entry. Here are some players with favorable matchups who can hopefully help you bring home some cash.

GUARD

Jrue Holiday, NO at GS ($7,900): Holiday has been a consistent contributor for the Pelicans, scoring at least 35.8 DraftKings points in five straight games. He showed excellent upside over that stretch, scoring at least 55 DraftKings points twice. The Pelicans are currently the fifth seed in the West, but they are only one game ahead of the ninth placed Nuggets. Expect Holiday to get plenty of playing time as a result, which is great news for his value since both the Pelicans and the Warriors are in the top-five in the league in pace of play.

Sean Kilpatrick, CHI vs. BKN ($4,500):
The Bulls are one of the teams tanking hard down the stretch, but they still somehow won three of their last four games. Kilpatrick's excellent play has been a big reason why, scoring at least 25 DraftKings points in three straight contests. He doesn't provide much outside of scoring, but he should get plenty of chances to score Saturday considering all of the Bulls guards who have already been ruled out for the season.

Damyean Dotson, NY vs. MIL ($3,100):
This is arguably the best time of the year for cheap value plays with bad teams giving extended playing time to young players. Dotson was one of those players Friday, scoring 52.8 DraftKings points in 36 minutes against the Heat. Tim Hardaway Jr. (ankle) was injured in that game and it makes little sense for the Knicks to play him on the second night of a back-to-back if he is still in pain. Dotson could end up seeing significant playing time again, making him someone to consider at almost the minimum price.

FORWARD

Kevin Durant, GS vs. NO ($11,000): Durant has been leading the way offensively with Stephen Curry (knee) out, scoring at least 26 points in eight of his last nine games. His 30.4 percent usage rate is 11th highest in the league, so expect him to get plenty of shot opportunities again Saturday. He's done a great job on the boards as well, resulting in him scoring at least 50.8 DraftKings points seven times over that stretch. He's not cheap, but he should be still be worth it in what will likely be an up-tempo game.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, BKN at CHI ($6,700):
Hollis-Jefferson is finishing his strong season on a high note, scoring at least 30.3 DraftKings points in 10 of his last 12 games. The Nets don't own their first-round pick in the draft, so it does them no good to rest their best players and lose game downs the stretch. Both the Nets and the Bulls are in the top 10 in the league in pace of play, so expect Hollis-Jefferson to be a valuable contributor again Saturday.

Nikola Mirotic, NO at GS ($5,100):
Mirotic was in a terrible shooting slump for most of March, which dropped his price significantly. He's a streaky shooter and can go into these type of slumps, but he can also be extremely productive when he gets hot. He may have figured things out, scoring at least 20 points in three of his last four games. The end result was at least 35.3 DraftKings points in all three contest. At this reduced price, it might be worth taking a chance that his shot is still falling Saturday.

CENTER

LaMarcus Aldridge, SA vs. POR ($9,300): The Spurs are in the unfamiliar position of fighting just to make the playoffs this late in the season. They are riding Aldridge hard down the stretch, resulting in him scoring at least 45.8 DraftKings points in nine of his last 10 games. He has played well against the Blazers this season, averaging 26 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks in their first two meetings. With a 29.1% usage rate overall, Aldridge should get plenty of chances to have another strong performance.

Kyle O'Quinn, NY vs. MIL ($5,900):
Enes Kanter (back) has missed the last three games for the Knicks, moving O'Quinn into the starting lineup. O'Quinn hasn't let the opportunity go to waste, scoring at least 32.3 DraftKings points in all three contests. The Bucks allow the second-most DraftKings points per game (55) to opposing centers, making O'Quinn an excellent option to consider for your entry.

Luke Kornet, NY vs. MIL ($3,500):
Not only did the Knicks lose Hardaway to an injury Friday, but Michael Beasley (knee) left the game and did not return as well. That opened up adding playing time for Kornet, who scored 36.5 DraftKings points in 22 minutes. If the Knicks are without Kanter, Hardaway and Beasley on Saturday, Kornet would likely see a significant role once again. He might be worth the risk in tournament play at this cheap price.
