FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

The NBA brings three playoff games on the schedule Tuesday, leaving a few extra options for your FanDuel entry after a limited two-game slate Monday. Here are some players with favorable matchups to consider when crafting your entry.

Guards

John Wall, WAS at TOR ($9,800): Wall missed over two months with a knee injury, but logged at least 33 minutes in each of the last four games that he played during the regular season. He saw plenty of action again in Game 1, scoring 62.1 FanDuel points in 39 minutes. He was an inefficient 6-of-20 from the field, but he still managed to score 23 points to go along with 15 assists and four steals. The Raptors defense is tough on opposing point guards, but volume alone will give Wall a high ceiling throughout this series.

C.J. McCollum, POR vs. NO ($7,100): The Pelicans came up with a big win on the road in Game 1 largely because of the shooting struggles of McCollum and Damian Lillard. McCollum finished 7-for-18 from the field, but he did hit four three-pointers on his way to 32.4 FanDuel points. The Pelicans allowed the fifth-most FanDuel points per game (42) to opposing shooting guards during the regular season, leaving McCollum as an excellent option to consider despite his relatively poor performance in Game 1 by his standards.

Malcolm Brogdon, MIL at BOS ($4,500): Even though Game 1 went into overtime, it's still a great sign to see that Brogdon was able to play 32 minutes. He had missed over two months with a quad injury and this was only his third game since he returned. He finished with 26.3 FanDuel points and is a great cheap option to consider Tuesday.

Forwards

Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL at BOS ($11,200): Giannis was his usual dominant self in Game 1, scoring 66.1 FanDuel points before fouling out in overtime. His 31.3% usage rate during the regular season ranked seventh in the league, so the Bucks will lean on him heavily again in Game 2 to try and bounce back from a tough loss. He's by far the most expensive small forward option of the night, but he should still be worth it.

Serge Ibaka, TOR vs. WAS ($6,100): Ibaka had a great finish to the regular season, scoring at least 29.5 FanDuel points in six of his last seven games. He continued his strong play Game 1, posting a double-double on his way to 43.9 FanDuel points. He shot 8-for-11 from the field and while it's unlikely he will be that efficient again in Game 2, he'll still play plenty of minutes and have a large enough role overall to be a viable option for your entry.

Marcus Morris, BOS vs. MIL ($5,500): Morris proved to be one of the offensive leaders for the Celtics in Game 1, scoring 21 points on 20 shot attempts. With Kyrie Irving (knee) out for the season, Morris should continue to be a crucial part of their offense moving forward. He doesn't normally provide much in the way of assists or defensive stats, but he should be able to score and rebound enough to warrant considering him Tuesday.

Centers

Al Horford, BOS vs. MIL ($8,000): Horford couldn't have played much better in Game 1, finishing with 58.4 FanDuel points. He was aided by overtime as he played 44 minutes, but the Celtics are going to rely on him to play big minutes throughout this series. The Bucks allowed the third-most FanDuel points per game (55.3) to opposing centers during the regular season, so don't hesitate to put Horford into your lineup.

Jonas Valanciunas, TOR vs. WAS ($5,800): Valanciunas played just 22 minutes in Game 1 and had a hard time seeing consistent playing time during the regular season. He still finished with nine points and nine rebounds and should continue to be a double-double as long as he plays around 20 minutes a game. He's not nearly the safe option that Horford is, but he also has a high ceiling if he were to receive extended playing time.

Marcin Gortat, WAS at TOR ($4,300): Gortat had a down season for the Wizards, failing to average at least 10 points and at least eight rebounds per game for the first time since the 2010-11 season. He did play well in four meetings with the Raptors though, averaging 10.3 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists per contest. He scored 12 points to go along with six rebounds in Game 1 and could provide value if you want to go really cheap at center.
