DraftKings NBA: Saturday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Saturday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Saturday brings two games in the NBA and while both series are 2-0, they are under very different circumstances. The Sixers lost two games to the Celtics on the road, but return home to try and gain some momentum. The Raptors are also down 2-0, but they lost both games at home to the Cavaliers and now have to try and get back into their series on the road. It should make for an exciting Saturday that could be even more fun with a winning entry on DraftKings. Here are some players to consider as you craft your lineup.

GUARDS

Terry Rozier, BOS at PHI ($8,500): After leading the Celtics to a win in seven games over the Bucks in the first round, Rozier has further proven he can take on a leading role with Kyrie Irving (knee) out. He hasn't slowed down in this series, scoring at least 48.3 DraftKings points in each of the first two games. Not only has he scored at least 20 points in both games, but he also had at least seven rebounds and six assists in each contest. His price jumped up, but he still has excellent upside.

Marcus Smart, BOS at PHI ($5,900):Jaylen Brown (hamstring) returned in Game 2, but he only played 25 minutes. Smart logged 39 minutes as a result, scoring 36.3 DraftKings points. Known more for his defense, Smart went 6-for-13 from the field for 19 points, including 4-for-10 from behind the arc. Brown might be limited again Saturday, but even if he does play more, Smart is going to get plenty of minutes off the bench. At this reasonable price, Smart could provide value again in Game 3.

J.R. Smith, CLE vs. TOR ($4,400): Smith can be hit-or-miss in DFS, largely because his value is mostly dependent on him having a good offensive performance. He still hasn't provided much in the way or rebounds or assists in the first two games of this series, but he has scored at least 15 points in both contests. He's actually scored at least 20.8 DraftKings in three straight games overall and while his upside isn't that high, he could still help your squad while giving you some important salary relief as well.

FORWARDS

LeBron James, CLE vs. TOR ($12,100): What James has done in these playoffs is incredible. The Cavaliers supporting cast has largely underperformed, leaving James to shoulder the load and score at least 59.5 DraftKings points in eight of nine games. He's been even better in the series against the Raptors, scoring at least 69.8 DraftKings points in both contests. He's going to get heavy playing time and have the ball in his hands a ton, so even though he's very expensive, he's still worth building your lineup around.

Al Horford, BOS at PHI ($7,500): Horford isn't flashy, but he's been one of the main reasons why the Celtics have been successful this season despite the injuries to Irving and Gordon Hayward (ankle). Other than when he played only 24 minutes in a blowout loss in Game 3 of their series against the Bucks, Horford has scored at least 32.8 DraftKings in each of his other playoff games this season. With his ability to contribute in multiple categories and extensive playing time, he provides an option with a high floor to consider for your entry.

J.J. Redick, PHI vs. BOS ($5,800): Redick has played well against the tough Celtics defense, scoring at least 28.8 DraftKings points in both games of their series. He has shot the ball, going a combined 16-for-30 from the field. His inability to contribute in other areas limits his upside, but he's going to continue to be a key part of Sixers offense in Game 3, making him a viable option once again.

CENTERS

Joel Embiid, PHI vs. BOS ($9,500): Embiid hasn't been great defensively in this series, but he has at least 20 points, 13 rebounds and five assists in both games. To no surprise, he's been heavily involved in the offense, attempting 43 total shots to go along with 12 free-throws. He's scored at least 40 DraftKings points in all five playoff games this year and is clearly the top option at center Saturday.

Jonas Valanciunas, TOR at CLE ($7,300): Valanciunas only logged 27 minutes in Game 2, which snapped a streak of three straight games where he had played at least 30 minutes. It didn't hinder his production though, posting a double-double on his way to 37 DraftKings points. His size presents problems for the Cavaliers and he's almost a lock for a double-double when he gets added minutes. If you can't fit Embiid into your entry based on his price, Valanciunas is an excellent secondary option to consider.
