Campbell fired a final round four-under 67 to claim the victory at the John Deere Classic on the first playoff hole.
ANALYSISCampbell entered Sunday's action one shot back of the lead and took over the solo lead after making his third birdie of the round on the par-5 10th hole. However, he stumbled with a double bogey on the par-4 15th but later birdied the par-5 17th and ultimately found himself in a playoff with
Emiliano Grillo. On the first playoff hole, a poor drive and approach from Grillo led to a bogey and Campbell easily two-putted for his second victory of the season. The 32-year-old was led by his short game, where he gained 9.7 strokes around the green and putting combined for the tournament.
