Matsuyama carded an even-par 72 on Sunday in the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational to finish tied for 41st.
ANALYSIS
Matsuyama struggled to score at the difficult Bay Hill, which is surprising for 12th best player in the world. After beginning the week with a solid two-under 70, in a round that saw him gain 1.81 strokes on the field, Matsuyama wasn't able to build anything after that. Matsuyama particularly struggled with his ball striking Friday, Saturday and Sunday as he lost 0.39 strokes in SG: Approach for the week, which contributed to him failing to break par those three days. Matsuyama will look to turn it around next week as he tees it up at The Players Championship, where he has found success in the past.
