Fails to make weekend at TCHO
March 31, 2026
Echavarria missed the cut by three strokes at the Texas Children's Houston Open.
ANALYSIS
Echavarria put himself on the back foot after posting a two-over 72 in the first round that included one double bogey, four bogeys and five birdies, and his one-under 69 score Friday was not enough for him to make the weekend. Echavarria has finished T44-T66-MC in his three outings since his victory at the Cognizant Classic. He won't participate in the Valero Texas Open, so the next time he'll tee off is April 9 at The Masters. Echavarria made his debut at Augusta National last year, when he won the Par 3 Contest before finishing T51.
