Davis was used extensively as a blocking tight end during Sunday's preseason game against Denver,

ANALYSIS
Davis entered at right guard during the second half with the second-team offense, but he also saw extensive action as a blocking tight end. At one point in the third quarter, he was required to report for six consecutive plays. "I've never been part of a game plan like that. It's fun," Davis said. "I'm just trying to get on the field. Not only that but be able to go out and play and execute like you're supposed to." With injuries to Delanie Walker and Nate Byham, this could be an interesting move for the 355-pound Davis. It also opens the door for some trick plays where he could find his way into the end zone in a similar fashion to players like Mike Vrabel and Jumbo Elliot.
