Scott left the Browns on Wednesday with the intent of retiring from football, Dana Balash of 21 News Youngstown reports. The Browns are expected to formally waive him within the next few days.
ANALYSIS
Scott lasted just two days with the Browns before apparently electing to hang up his cleats. The ninth-leading rusher in Michigan State history, Scott compiled 2,855 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns during his college career, but was troubled by an ankle injury for much of his final season in East Lansing. It's unclear if health played a factor in Scott's decision to step away from football, but it's always possible he changes his mind and eventually pursues a return to the NFL.
