FanDuel Casino Alberta is anticipated to be one of the biggest names available when Alberta's regulated online casino market opens this summer on July 13. As the market share leader in North American online gaming and a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment, FanDuel is expected to arrive in Wild Rose Country with as much or more resources and reach as any other casino.
Nope, not yet. FanDuel has not formally launched in Alberta as of May 2026, though it is widely thought to be as a Day one entrant. A FanDuel spokesperson confirmed to Canadian Gaming Business that the brand intends to pursue a license and is "excited and encouraged" by Alberta's regulatory progress.
FanDuel would be expected to launch in Alberta on July 13, 2026. In 2026 investor guidance, Flutter Entertainment referenced the Alberta launch, and the company has allocated approximately $70 million in adjusted EBITDA expectations tied to the market.
What to Expect at Launch
FanDuel Alberta casino is anticipated to launch with its full dual-product platform: casino and sportsbook under one account. Based on how they operate to the East in Ontario, expect much of the same: a large online casino slots library, live-dealer games, same-game parlays, and one of the best mobile casino app options in Alberta.
FanDuel is the largest online gaming operator in North America by market share and a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment, one of the world's biggest sports betting and iGaming groups. It has been live in Ontario since April 2022 and is widely expected to enter Alberta when they launch their commercial online casino market this summer.
FanDuel, like their top competitor DraftKings, operates as a combined sportsbook and casino, and its product quality, specifically their mobile product, is consistently rated among the best across the industry. A formal Alberta launch announcement had not been made as of late April 2026 but I'd expect to see them go live on July 13.
Review vs. Competitors
As stated above, FanDuel is the market share leader specifically the United States, operating in 20+ states while their online casino platform is available in five states: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan, West Virginia, and Connecticut. Their Ontario online casino product has been a top performer since they launched years ago.
Flutter's global scale means FanDuel benefits from some of the top tech in the industry, including proprietary pricing engines and a live dealer product via by Evolution Gaming. It's a near guarantee you'll have a great user experience playing with FanDuel Casino once they go live in Alberta.
FanDuel has invested more in proprietary responsible gambling technology than most operators coming to the Alberta casino market. Its Real-Time Check-In tool uses machine learning to flag deposit behavior that deviates from a player's normal patterns, prompting review before completing a transaction. The My Spend tool gives players a chart-based view of their full deposit and withdrawal history.
