Jones announced Wednesday via his personal Instagram account that he has signed with an agency and will forgo his final season of eligibility at Middle Tennessee State to enter the 2020 NBA Draft.
ANALYSIS
Jones would have been a fifth-year senior for Middle Tennessee State during the upcoming season after redshirting in 2018-19 following his transfer from Arkansas, but he decided it was in his best interest to pursue professional opportunities. While the 6-foot-5 guard isn't expected to get selected in the 2020 draft, he should be able to find work in the G League or overseas. He averaged 16.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.6 three-pointers, 1.1 assists and 0.8 steals in 34.3 minutes per game during his lone active season with the Blue Raiders.
