Johnson (illness) provided a season-high 14 points (5-5 FG, 4-7 FT) and a team-high nine rebounds in the loss to USC on Sunday.

Johnson missed the Thursday loss to UCLA due to a stomach ailment. He played more than his usual complement of minutes against the Trojans and had one of his better games. The 7-0 sophomore should be a key component of the Ute bench going forward.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson will not play in Thursday's game against UCLA due to a stomach virus, ESPN 700's Bill Riley reports.

Johnson recently came down with the stomach bug and stayed back at the team hotel Thursday. With some additional time to rest, it's expected that he'll be ready to suit up for Sunday's game against USC.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson will join the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Northwestern State, Josh Furlong of KSL.com reports.

A consistent contributor off the bench, Johnson should see more minutes than usual Wednesday night with a number of starters unavailable for the Utes. Johnson is generally heavily involved on the offensive end of the floor, so if his starting role lasts beyond Thursday, the big man may be worth fantasy consideration in some leagues.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson finished with 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and two blocks in 15 minutes during Thursday's 77-59 win over Missouri.

Johnson missed the team's first two contests while nursing an ankle injury. He played well in his season debut, needing just 15 minutes to make his presence felt on both ends of the floor. He'll seemingly remain behind No. 1 center David Collette, but won't have trouble making an impact in limited minutes if Thursday's game is any indication.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson sat out the game against Prairie View A&M due to an ankle injury, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Without Johnson, the Utes went small in the starting lineup with just David Collette and Tyler Rawson in the frontcourt. The 7-0 center did not miss a game as a freshman, but offered just 4.0 points and 4.3 rebounds in 12.3 minutes. He hopes to play Monday against Mississippi Valley State.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson accumulated 14 points (7-9 FG, 0-2 FT), 12 rebounds, and one block across 19 minutes during Thursday's 79-61 loss to Oregon.

The freshman center put his full potential on display during the loss to Oregon by scoring efficiently, pulling down rebounds, and swatting a shot. Though it's difficult for him to find playing time behind, or next to, starting center Kyle Kuzma, Johnson is making the most of his time on the floor. That being said, he likely won't be fantasy relevant unless he starts seeing more than 12.5 minutes per game.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Johnson made his Ute debut with eight points and 14 rebounds in the blowout win over Northwest Nazarene on Saturday.

Productive freshman centers are like gold in fantasy college basketball. Johnson only played 20 minutes, but he was effective on the boards and attempted 10 free throws (making six). Utah has plenty of size, but it is a good sign that 7-0 freshman is starting.
