The 6-foot-4 guard appeared in 19 games for Cal as a freshman and averaged 4.8 minutes per contest while going 0-for-12 from the field. Since he was unlikely to see a major uptick in playing time as a sophomore with head coach Wyking Jones overhauling the roster over the past year, McCullough intends to explore his options elsewhere. McCullough probably won't garner much interest from any major-conference schools, so expect him to land with a low- or mid-major program as he attempts to find minutes. He would have to sit out the 2018-19 season in accordance with NCAA transfer rules if he elects to play at the Division 1 level.
