LIU-Brooklyn: Jason Brickman Picks Up 1,000th Assist
GLIU-Brooklyn
March 1, 2014
Brickman had six points and 12 assists during Saturday's 81-62 loss to Bryant on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
In the loss, Brickman picked up his 1,000th career assist, becoming only the fourth player in Division I history to reach that mark. Former Duke star Bobby Hurley tops the all-time list at 1,076, followed by former NC State guard Chris Corchiani at 1,038, and the former North Carolina guard Ed Cota at 1,030. Brickman came into the contest averaging 9.9 assists per game, which was two more assists than the next highest player in the country (Kenneth Smith from Louisiana Tech). The milestone mark came on Senior Night in Brickman's final game, playing in front of his younger brother Justin, who is a guard at Bryant, as well as his parents.
