Young dealt with a multiple of injuries that limited what was supposed to be his junior season to just four games. The team officially called it quits on the 2018-19 campaign in mid-January due to a groin injury, and he later underwent shoulder surgery. It was unclear for some time when Solomon would return, but Young was ready to roll in the first of a three-game exhibition tour in Italy, and even finished second on the team in scoring with 13 points. In his last "full" season in 2017-18, young produced 7.2 points and 5.9 rebounds through 26 games (all starts). Given that track record and a relative lack of frontcourt depth, Young can presumably be penciled in as the starting power forward on the 2019-20 squad.
