Harris has been dismissed from West Virginia's basketball team as a result of a "violation of athletic department policies," Mike Casazza of 247 Sports
Harris was one of two players dismissed from the team Monday along with Esa Ahmad. The duo have had their share of run-ins with the coaching staff throughout the season, which culminated in both of them being benched in mid-January against Oklahoma State. Since then, Harris had rejoined the starting lineup in six of their eight games, averaging 7.3 points and 3.5 rebounds in 24.8 minutes per game. Harris, who is a junior, now has one year of eligibility remaining for him to spend with a new program, while his departure from the Mountaineers makes way for Lamont West and Emmitt Matthews to take on bigger duties.
